I heard about this fic many years ago, so today I decided to start reading it since I’ve been on a bit of a Pokémon comic and fic reading streak. First of all, I have to say the descriptive imagery in this chapter was really well done. I could easily imagine the the ice and snow that might be melting away under the Growlithe’s feet. I also really like Snowcrystal as a character. I’m really excited to see how she will develop as a character in the chapters ahead. Finally, I have to wonder what Darkclaw and the Houndour tribe might be up to.

I caught wind of what you did to a certain someone recently. I must say, I am impressed. I didn't know you had it in you to stoop that far. Although now that I think of it, didn't you cause her to have a mental breakdown summer of 2018? That was perfect timing. Were you aware that something terrible nearly happened to her and she barely escaped and it happened only days before? Good job. I'm clapping right now. You should be proud of yourself. Keep forcing her to see your story and you might succeed in giving her enough anxiety and panic to send her to the emergency room.

I was informed by Thorn regarding what you did and I-I can't really bring myself to be angry. Only disappointed.

Why would you do that to my friend? You can't convince me it wasn't on purpose. You knew she was in that same DA group. You knew that she suffered emotional scars from your story. You knew that blocking on DA doesn't hide the pictures. You still posted that image of your story anyway right where my friend would see it and give her an anxiety attack.

Do you comprehend how seriously you messed up? My friend was doing well with recovering by distancing herself from that story and not thinking about it. But then you went and did this and-

I don't care what you do with that stupid picture. You've already dealt enough damage with your carelessness. It'll be a miracle if my friend regains her previous recovery within a few months.

Oh and don't even think about contacting my friend about this. She's terrified of you and she'll more likely have another anxiety attack if she got any message from you unexpectedly.

I though this chapter was incredibly written

I recently read your whole story from start to 'end' and I wanted to let you know I that really love it.

I almost stopped reading at two parts because I felt they were unnecessarily gory; when Stormblade was being tortured by Solus and then by Team Rocket. It was not the violence of those scenes themselves that put me off; it was how you were piling abuses on Stormblade without end. You have solved this problem pretty well by adding the human characters who can provide medical treatment. This way you can still have violent scenes (e.g. Yenn's skull being cracked open) without the injuries compounding until the characters wish to die.

My only advice is to be careful with how large your cast is. 4 trainers, their teams, and the party of wild Pokemon makes for a lot of characters. So far you seem to be handling things well by making many of them flat, static characters, which I think is the correct decision. Trying to make every character round and dynamic would just be overwhelming. Something you have been doing very well is making these minor characters interesting by limiting how long they are present. If these had as much "screen time" as the more complex characters, their simplicity becomes become obvious and tiring. Just to be clear, I am not saying that having flat or static characters are bad. The majority of the cast of The Hobbit fits that description. What Tolkien did, and what you have so far been doing quite well, is making sure the more round, dynamic characters get the attention they should without forgetting that the flat, static characters are there.

I am really looking forward to reading more and seeing how things develop from here.

P.S. I really like the ending to this chapter. It fills in a lot of Damian's backstory and sets up the possibility that Mausk may try to go after Damian because he fears that Damian is "dangerous". Even if this is not what Mausk eventually does, setting the possibility up is good storytelling. Whatever Mausk does will act as a foil to the other human characters who found themselves in the same situation.

That was a fabulous chapter.

Why did they help Rosie? she's clearly going to cause trouble for them and doesn't care about them. I'd have left her.

Is every Pokemon gonna be in this story? I bet they will!

Okay well I do like how the story starts off in chapter 1. And seeing the amount of chapters I'm expecting great things. I'm preparing to be disappointed because I rarely get what I expect.
