I'm absolutly thrilled. This story is amazing, exactly in Pratchett's spirit. Vetinari is my personal favourite and the meeting with the Doctor is flawless. Makes me wonder: is there any chance for something more? At least one more Discworld fic for this perfection sake?

I love this cross over! Two of the most scheming, convoluted and yet "perfectly sane" genius characters ever created playing an unfriendly game of chess- brilliant. This was a fun read nice work. Though personally if it had been me I would have had it end in Stalemate...

I really love the concept here - these are definitely two characters that work well in opposition to each other :D And the bit about the chess-playing machines is just brilliant. I think the style is probably a bit more Simon R. Green than Terry Pratchett, though (not that that's a bad thing; they're both great authors). One minor quibble: I can't really see the Patrician saying "Oh and um...check." Maybe that's just me, but he doesn't really strike me as an 'um' sort of person :) Great writing, though!

Oo! That was fun! :D The footnotes were especially interesting and I love how the story focused around someone other than Death. Yes, he is everyone's favorite character (usually) but it is nice to have some variety. I it and have added it to my C2!

I love it. You completely captured Terry Pratchett's voice, as well as kept me laughing the whole story. It was hilarious and perfectly in character.

I love the part about the world rolled into a ball and doing a strange spinny thing on its axis.

Never seen any of the Doctor Who series and only recently introduced to the Discworld series of books, but I have to say your little story is most impressive :)
