I'm not usually one for romantic stories, but you did a wonderful job writing a fic about this unusual paring. The character development was superb and so was the grammar and sentence usage: if given the option I would no change anything about this fic. I also love how you incorporated it with the actual FFVII story line.

I love your balance of elements. Chapters that are full of action and seriousness are almost immediately met with slices of life (or, in this case, pie). This one made me smile so much. It's so bittersweet to see this end!

I've been reading this story from the start way back when I was still in high school, I've kind of grown up with this story so thank you for years of entertainment and after the last chapter is posted, I can't wait to start the journey over again. Thank you

One of my favorite chapters by far! So much emotion and drama and action! I sort of called one of the enemies (I won’t spoil anything here) but dismissed it because I thought it was too obvious. BUT OH BOY WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT PERSON TO BE BEHIND IT ALL! What really excites me about it is that honestly that character is just the character you forget about and would never expect to be up to anything. Great use of that character! (Again being super vague b/c spoilers but like you get what I’m saying I’m sure). I’m super excited for this last chapter to close everything off. There’s a lot that’s being set up and a lot I can expect, but at the same time I have no idea what we’re going to get!

I pulled down on the scroll bar, so how comparatively tiny it was, and knew this would be a meatier chapter. You always know how to start with a bang when you need it!
Seeing it's Tseng who was attacked while doing something as mundane as going to a corner store has me just imagining it. He's in there getting possibly embarrassing stuff and is just relieved to finish quickly at check-out, gets to the parking lot, uses his fob to unlock the car doors then is like "oh I forgot the eggs" and turns around just as the bomb goes off. In my mind, he's in his work-out gear and hair in a bun, just trying to live like a normal person for a gosh darn second.
I really liked the following conversation in the penthouse. My feelings were in tune with the characters and the moment they were living in. I liked the surveillance details and hearing them talk in description about tactics.
At this point, I'm also curious why Rude is turning Vanya down. Their ship has grown on me.
Wow. Tseng hasn't cut his hair since he last saw Elyssia. I really feel for Elena. Yeah, she's into Rufus now, but I'm still getting some secondhand discomfort and embarrassment for Laney.
I really felt for Rufus' side of the conversation. Elena was making calls based on her emotions. I get she just enjoyed having her family reunited, and I understand wanting to protect that. On the other hand, she's not understanding she's risking something else she loves very much. Oh Elena! I was surprised Rufus gave in. I know he didn't do it due to lack of will. He must be thinking something else.
Also, gosh darn it, poor Elena having to see that. Like I said, I know she's not into Tseng that way anymore, but it's that pain of being a fool.

My goodness, these two! Elena is starting off all nervous and unsure. Meanwhile, Rufus probably took the minutes he had between okaying Elena's entry and her actual arrival most likely to primp for all of that seductive smirking. Someone clearly wants Elena back. You and I both know he left that dish on purpose. Rufus doesn't accidentally do much, let alone be a cook who forgets a good cooking dish. Their little banter over the dish is cute. I liked Rufus' flirty little joint custody of it joke. Then her saying she left the stove on, followed by Rufus' apt point that she doesn't even cook, not that it's a lame, obvious lie. It's cheeky little humor like that which gets me. I will say I'm unsure if this scene deserved half the chapter, but it was funny, so it doesn't really matter whether or not.
The second half of the chapter brings me to deal with a certain issue I've had, and it's that I can't remember which TempTurk is which. I think Vanya is the Turk who fights with her fists and has long hair. I think Finneas is the baby-faced one? Rod is obvious, being a redhead like Reno. Kamryn and Kane are harder to recall. Is Kamryn Shotgun? Is Kane Katana? Man on man. I haven't connected to their characters, and now the plot is quizzing me a little here. I think I have it, though.
It's more fun approaching this scenario as now looking for a mole. We've had bar bonding scenes in Flux before, but this new slant has given a new spin on this set-up for character building. It makes us look at their dialogue and actions from different angles, all in search of who is behind the crisis. And speaking of crisis! End chapter.

It's been a while since Icicle. I'm not 100% how I feel about this slower chapter following one where the story had started to pick up the pace. I wanted to keep rushing onto the exciting stuff, much like these two going for the black diamond slope (further emphasizing the fact that their kind of crazy is inborn as they could've died doing that). I'm admittedly having a harder time coming up with things to say on this chapter. It was really low-key, but I liked seeing her father in-person. The return of their mom was good, of course. She's a very mom character, this mom. Ha!
Part of me was hoping the bullet hole in the wall would get to be a little gag, that everyone would notice and comment on it in their own way, characteristic of them.
The victory in this chapter is convincing me that Elyssia is a character who, though I don't understand here, is in this for the right reasons and returning sincerely to help someone who matters most to her. I get the idea now that she has simply never been good at connecting and sharing her emotions. Hiding herself for seven years only made that worse. But I'm getting her now. She's interesting. Almost cool enough to be Elena's sister ;) (that's a winking face in case gets rid of it I have no idea what they do)
