very original idea. I always enjoy stories where you get to see the characters from an outsiders perspective, but this fortune teller is in an especially insightful position. Smart.

ttfn.tahtahfornow chapter 1 . 8/16/2008
OHmyGOD.

This story is wonderful. So tragic, bittersweet. I love how the little snippets of thought in parentheses and the fortune teller's POV. " . . . spins the wildest, prettiest futures she's created since the day she read Tarot for a girl fated to be hit by a car on her walk home from a carnival many years ago." GAH. And that last line.

I love it.

freudian fuckup chapter 1 . 7/14/2008
i read this a while ago on livejourral, i think, but i just found it a second time, and it was just as powerful.

i love this. really. it's obscure enough to be timeless and profound, without being too flowery or overdone. r/s is my OTP, but sometimes the complete tragedy of it all is almost too much; however, i've developed a pretty high tolerance. yet, this nearly made me cry.

well done!

*sniffle*

I love the way you write.
Bottlebrush chapter 1 . 2/2/2008
This is a beautiful piece of writing, thought-provoking and sad. How terrible it must be to be a genuine fortune-teller, what a dreadful burden the truth is, and here she has to carry it alone, out of pity for the doomed. The boys don't quite swallow her stories, and I'm glad of that. She would protect them if she could, but she does what she can. I'm guessing she is not a witch, but a very talented Muggle.

I love stories that make me visualise the scenes and the people. This one does that very well. It doesn't need long descriptive passages. Just a few words, but the right ones, and here they are. Thanks for writing.
DreamTimeTails chapter 1 . 2/2/2008
GAH! Your fic just broke my brain... In a good way.

That was so deep. And I'm not even kidding. Oh, such a good one-shot. I think it's pretty much perfectly heartwrenching and mind-bending.
