Good, well written exploration of a simply terrible idea. Sacrilege! Everyone knows bikes heart has belonged to Daphne since he first whiffed her hair.

Oh my GOODNESS! I have to stop reading to comment on some things before I forget while reading the rest. I really like the banter between Frasier and Niles at the beginning and EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NEVER SEEN MARIS BEFORE, you write her so wonderfully that I can almost actually see her. I see her sitting on the couch and not even making a dent in the cushion. I know you didn't write that, but you've written her so well that I can actually see it if it's really taking place. AND I CAN'T BELIEVE MARIS NOT ONLY KNEW OR NILES' CRUSH FOR DAPHNE, BUT SHE WENT AND TOLD DAPHNE ABOUT IT! WOW! WOW! THIS IS BY FAR THE SHORTEST, long chapter I have ever read. BRILLIANT. I did not know how this was going to end. I couldn't stop reading. I was waiting for Niles to turn a 180 and tell her that they were through... WOW! TREMENDOUS "What If" story. Brilliant! INCREDIBLE PIECE OF WORK.

Wow... This is absolutely amazing. It's crazy that I am reading this 14 years after you wrote it but it's so well-written that I am glad that I decided to go all the way to the beginning of the Frasier archives and found this. I'd read the description many times but now that I've read the entire story I am in awe of your talent! This is so unique and since discovering Frasier only in 2010, I've never even thought about writing a story that focuses on Maris and how she can be good,but this has really changed my mind! This is the perfect story to start the Frasier stories with and it's so well written! I apologize for gushing so much here but I loved this! My only "complaint" (and it's a small insignificant one) is that this wasn't separated into chapters so that I could give you more reviews! The person who said you would regret writing this is, I hope, sorely mistaken. Never thought I would see Maris more than annoying but you have changed my mind! No wonder Niles loves her!

Are you bloody nuts? maris and niles? man i hope u regret that story!... okay im sorry. it is just that well that's completely wrong. altho it was very well written even tho i knew they would end up together in this story i kept reading it and believe me u should feeel VERY flattered because whenever a story even remotely stears away from Daphne and niles i hit the back button so fast. and i still kept reading!

well done story you have some real potential but not that realistic maris would never go to daphne... but really well writen...

Considering what a N/D fan I am, I had to review this twice because I want to put this as one of my favourite stories. I never thought I could be satified with a fic and think it has the right ending, I can always think of one thing wrong. But this was different. You have a great talent for writing , and I think-hope-you continue. Did that make any sense? Well, I hope you get the gist of it ~ Chassitty

Very good, it almost makes you feel sorry for Maris (almost). It was one of the angles that needed tackling, and I strongly urge you to continue writing fan fictions.

And don't apologize for the story's diversion from the "official" Daphne-Niles romance plotline-it's our job, as fanfic writers, to play "What if . . ."

Whoo! A frasier fic! and a good one! keep them up!

Even though I favored Niles and Daphne getting together (because that's how the directors wanted it, it was meant to be), this story poses an interesting side of Maris that none of us probably ever thought possible. The story is well done in spelling and grammar and a good read.

- I thought the story was excellent. I watch Fraiser and even though in the season finale Niles gets with Daphne, I do like how you made Niles get back with Maris. It was a very, very good story and I enjoyed reading it! -

This was a very enjoyable story. I never really thought of seeing things through Maris' point of view before.
