Okay, this is just gorgeous! As you can see I've gone back to check out your old stories and this is the first one I've come to. "Laser-arm Lilly," love it! I also especially like the spontaneity of the whole thing, and how they don't feel the need to really talk about anything. It's just all in their actions and the way they read each other.

I was thinking about what you said about them pre- and post- Chris, and I think the saddest moment for me was at the start of The Woods, when Lilly said she was sorry that Chris had come between them. The way she said it made it seem like she felt Chris would now always be between them. I love how, in this story, Lilly is able to "shove those thoughts aside," and just have fun with Scotty.

And, Vera's reaction is classic. I can just picture it. I love how his line, "I don't even wanna know," is exactly what Stillman says in the very last episode, when he hears that Lilly and Scotty are AWOL together.

I thought this was the cutest thing ever. I love love LOVE Cold Case, and I think you did an awesome job with the characters. Even though this is very different from the Lilly and Scotty (well, maybe not so much the Scotty) we know, it was still somehow very much in character. Great job! It was great to see them acting so cute around each other. Loved it!

I especially like the way you write from Lil's point of view. I imagine this can be quite difficult sometimes, but you did it great-

I am glad she and Scotty have some fun during winter. There probably won't be any snow in my area this year - we never have snow that lasts longer that 6 hours - but imagining Lil finding "her inner child" will be enough for me to enjoy the cold!

I hope you continue to write such short and wonderful stories.

Aw, that was very cute :D It was very funny, and great to see these characters acting playful and having a bit of fun, since we so rarely get to see that on the actual show. I loved the use of the first person - you really got that kind of dry wit that Lilly has - and you described the characters' behavior and reactions just right - I could picture it perfectly, and it really made me smile! Great story :)

That was fun. Cool to see a playful side of Lil. We don't see that often on the show for obvious reasons.
