That was NOT the ending I expected! I probably should have since you alluded to it several times, but it still caught me off guard. This was an absolutely wonderful story! Kind of sad how it ended, but it makes sense for this fanfic. Great job!

I just read this fan fiction again for the 3rd time all the way through. Every time I’m met with immense pain over the deaths that occur. The fact that they met their ends before becoming chunin, before becoming adults, breaks my heart. But it’s so realistic, in the ninja world. No shinobi is promised tomorrow, no matter how you wish it. This was my favorite Naruto fanfic, the first l, second and now third time reading it. I just wanted to say thank you, for sharing this amazing story with all of us. I’ll read it again soon.

I'm sorry, my fangirl-ing has been reawakened and I've actually never read a Gaara fic before (never thought about it) and it's absolutely wonderful.

I might also be delusional since it's 4am but I'm so close to the end...

Oh F*ck! (a.k.a. AWWWWWWEEEEE) Like, seriously, Gaara is just holding this girl's hand and it feels like the first kiss of the two leads in a drama filled romance. Fireworks and everything.

I think though...I kinda liked the ending, the parts in italics. It was kinda fluffy but also sorta morbid once you realise what's going to happen. It's only frustrating after you realise in some other; in every other dimension, she could have NOT read the scroll, and in MOST of these dimensions (not all) have gotten a perfectly okay, perfectly healthy ending. WHY NOT?! T-T ah...

I absolutely adored this story. Still feeling kind of shocked and heartbroken over the ending though. My mind's kind of trying to cling to a happy ending, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. I truly did enjoy this work and I hope that you continue to write such wonderful stories. Ciao!
