| Vadercat chapter 1 . 8/25/2015 Sights, sounds, smells, hearing and touch of just one item can bring back the oddest memories. For me it's the smell of a Cuban cigar, makes me remember my grandfather, he died when I was 6 so all of my memories of his are pre-6. Considering that was a few decades ago it's pretty amazing what I can remember with just the right smell. So it's not really hard to believe John has issues with clowns, though I would think he'd also have issues with older banks that have lots of old woodwork in them too, vs newer banks that are more high tech. Popping balloons in his case would probably trigger a memory or two, too. There is actually a phobia for clowns and is apparently as common as spider, rats and snake phobias. Good story. |
