Hello, this is a very original and realistic story on DN if the Death Note hadn't land in Light's hands. The storyline captures each character's flaw due to their high intellect in a certain domain, thus leaving them on their lonely island.
Some chapters were hard to read to be honest, maybe due to the fact that they sometimes 'ring a bell'. But insightful and so well captured. I love the way you set the mood and the description of the scenery: the airport, Winchester, Japan and the bridge where Light stood ...
The last chapter almost brought a tear to my eye, finally L is breaking inside, or more like melting due to Light's incident. Thus removing the barriers that keeps him from going, and hopefully will be able to help Light and vice versa ! I can't wait for the next chapters. Bye

honestly, I'm not in the Death Note fandom anymore, and I haven't used this website in years. however, when i got the email notif that you updated, i reread this fanfic within the span of 2 days. your writing is my absolute favorite and i love this story to pieces. your characterization is the best i've ever seen in fanfic, and believe me, i've read a lot of fanfic. i'm grateful you're still continuing this story, thank you!

Sorry for not reviewing the previous update. Truth be told, I binge-reread the entire story up to that point and got so depressed I couldn't bear to review. And yet I love this story, because I have hope that things will turn out all right. And I like your portrayals, heart-wrenching though they are. So thank you for writing, for your writing being excellent, and for not leaving us hanging in tragedy forever but moving forward and continuing the story.

This chapter was something!
I can understand why it was difficult to write these scenes, but I think the result is great, I could sense L's tension and vulnerability like it was mine.
And oh my god the hug broke my heart. I'm too weak.

It's a shame Light has "accepted" L's offer just because he has nothing else, but in his position I wouldn't expect anything different from him. He can't be gracious and healed all of a sudden.

Now I'm even more curious about what's going to happen next...
