Okay, it sounds really cool and pretty, but I can't quite figure out what this is supposed to mean: "Ice shards of everything he was leaving behind peppered his face like the Devil's little pinpricks." If he's leaving something behind, why is it hitting him in the face?

Yay! Vancouver! But didn't you hardly know where that was? Or perhaps you'd only heard of the Canadian Vancouver and I was telling you about the Washington one.

So in a metaphorical context, Canada equals Matt's perspective to not look back and/or care about good and bad? Sorta?

Anyway, I loved this story! Um, I didn't find any typos... the only thing that confused me was at the very beginning and well, it at least sounded pretty, so... yeah, I liked the contrast between how at first they are going "to" Canada, but by the end they are going "through" Canada. And all your great descriptions... seriously, I think I'll start calling you the Queen of Metaphors or something...

An absolutely awesome oneshot. The way you have just written Matt and Mello without an embellishments, the way you used all the imagery and simple phrases like 'a ripple of snow' presents the story so well. It also had great flow. Loved it

It was one of those nice, cool stories where you just go 'oh, how that's how it went' rather than having to suspend your disbelief.

Also, it made me want to hug both of them. And give them mittens, because I live in Canada, and GOD is it cold.

Is "Drive on, said ol' Lucifer" from somewhere? I really liked that part! Driving on a motorbike in Canada... yeah, I bet it probably DID feel like ol' Lucifer was there! You described how the roads are and how it feels wonderfully! I know, 'cause I'm driving them! Or was. I was in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago... and the roads were JUST LIKE THAT! Do you get road conditions like that too?

Driving in the snow... there's something nostalgic about that... or maybe that's just me. I like it, when I'm tucked all nice and warm inside my car that is!
