I am new to the whole AvP or just Predator craze and I am LOVING this story. Though I am still cringing at the Scar/Lex ship because you know... HE'S AN EXTRA TERRESTRIAL! And I'm like how would that work but screw it love is love. The do have quite the dynamics together.

"Scar clearly enjoyed watching her squirming. Lex loved what he was doing, but at the same time she wasn't ready to let everything go his way."

Okay, this chapter was fun and adorable and cute. Like aaaaaaaaaaa I love it so much. Except for the last like 2 paragraphs.

"Scar had sprung to action as soon as he saw Stealth moving, but not even he was fast enough to get to him in time. Stealth smashed the device to the floor with all his strength, which was still a lot even with the drug weakening him."

Welp there goes that plan.

"He guided Lex out of the room, but not before Stealth's one last reminder. "The deal is… still on… don't forget that."

After that it switched to mostly Lex guiding the growling Scar out, before he would change his mind about Stealth"

Stealth, I get the feeling that you want everyone pissed off at you.

"I'm still going to kill him", came Scar's ominous answer. "And when the time comes for that, there's nothing you can do to stop me."

I feel like this comes from Scar's possessive AND protective sides. Which means Stealth better watch his ass.

"Scar continued: "Now that neither of our devices are functioning, there's no way for the others to know if we're alive, so they'll be sending someone to check things out.""

Oooooooooh.

"Unfortunately her new hopes were shot down by Scar's correction. "No, he won't help us, since it's our hunt. I can ask him to relay the message, but after that, he's just going to be observing and waiting for the outcome.""

Makes sense, with such an honor bound culture. It's their hunt, others cannot and will not interfere.

""It is as we talked before", Scar's eyes were full of assurance. "I will stay here with you.""

When Scar decides on something, nothing is going to change his mind and I love that.

"Lex had finally managed to explain to Annie everything they had been trying to do and what was their only option now. Stealth was now the only one unaware of their plan and Lex intended things to stay that way."

I don't know if telling Annie was the smartest idea. I feel like she'd probably tell Stealth with just a little bit of manipulation from him.

And shit is going down with Vincent and Mark.

Without casting one look at the woman, Scar turned on his heel and started walking away. "I'm going to kill him."

*Giggles* I like that his response is just "this idea is super fucking risky, so I am going to kill Stealth to try and keep Lex safe."

""He will do nothing", Lex spoke slowly and calmingly. "That's the plan. He'll be out cold before he has a chance"

I mean, I'm Kinda with Scar on this one. I don't think things will go according to plan as nothing has gone according to plan at all with this.

"You've already shown him that you're no helpless child bearer, he will not lower his guard near you."

Pretty much. Stealth knows to be on his guard around her. She's blooded, she's even wounded him personally and survived. He wouldn't let his guard down.

"Lex realized she needed something else to win the argument, and she did have one ace in mind she could play. "What about my honor then?""

... yeah, that would do it. If there was 1 thing that would make Scar back down, it would be bringing up honor.

"The traditions of his kind were too deeply imprinted in him for him to deny Lex's reasoning. He, himself, had given her the warrior's mark, and even if its meaning wasn't entirely known to her, it was to him. He couldn't just ignore it."

Yep, there it is. Also I hope you'll eventually go more into depth on the warrior's mark's importance.

"You know I just care about you too much to let you take such an unnecessary risk."

It's really good that Lex has such a decent read on yautja honor code and how they live. That she understands that just because she might not like something, it's what Scar lives by and not trying to force him to change. He's willing to give up a lot for her, and she's willing to meet him part way and try to understand his culture and way of living.

"Lex felt guilty for smirking at a mental image of Antonio tied to one end of a fishing line, while Scar would be holding the other, waiting for something to take a bite. Shaking her head, she vanquished the humorous image. That was just mean."

Nah, Lex. Don't reject that part of your personality, embrace it. It's fine to be mean sometimes.

"The predator in question gave an expression of surprise, which quickly changed to an amused grin. "Why… of course… lead the way.""

I am immediately, immensely concerned.

This scene between Stealth and Lex is so goddamn intense that there's not a single part that I can copy and repeat here for opinions because it's all awesome and intense and I imagine Scar is going out of his mind not being able to be there.

You know I'm not even surprised that Stealth is feeling horny. I imagine that hunting and fucking are very close for yautja, hunting gets the blood pumping and puts them in the mood.

"Need help?"

*Cackles* I love that Annie's first reaction isn't to try and stop Lex but to ask if she needs help killing him.

And Annie's massive protective instincts towards Mark win out. I like Annie but she is definitely a bit crazy.

I do wish Lex was a bit more like she was in the temple. Willing and able to do and kill when necessary, like her shooting Sebastian and having no problem killing the xenomorphs. But I imagine that as she gets more adrenaline in her, she'll fall back into that mentality of doing whatever is necessary to survive. Right now she's taking the less violent route, but when that route is no longer an option can she do what she needs to?

A door opening to an empty room? Definitely a trap.

Of course Stealth can't let Annie know Mark is still alive, that would ruin the fun he's having.

Huh, Vincent's POV is interesting.

Huh, why was the sheriff in the building near the basement floor?

I feel like Scar is not going to like Lex's idea.

"Stealth was suspicious."

Annnnd now Stealth is getting gross rapey again. God damn it Stealth.

"I'm not surprised you would need slaves, since no one in their right mind would do anything with you willingly."

Of course Stealth would be amused with that. And like people feisty, without a doubt the yautja species as a whole rather value not backing down and being willing to fight. Verbally as well as physically.

"She was more angry at herself than the predator at the moment, because she had just caught herself… looking at that asshole and his… various body parts. "

*giggles* there's no harm in checking someone's... Assets. As long as you're not gross and creepy about it. And I don't think Stealth would mind at all.

Uugh, Antonio's POV. I wanted to see those two having to work together but I didn't think through the fact that that would require his POV. His entitlement. Bleh.

"Instead, Antonio knew that he had to get rid of the predator somehow, before he would ruin Lex's life."

YOU DON'T GET TO MAKE THAT DECISION. THAT IS LEX'S CHOICE.
