The whole thing are very frustrating. This hurting and bleeding is routine right? So it's only common sense to always restock pain killers.
They've been doing this for years, so surely they do not still having trouble taking hold of pain killers.

I was hoping that this is an AU, and they beat the demon somehow, then John get punched by Bobby and yelled at by Sam for hiting Dean in the past and being such a lousy and awful father, and making Dean didn't value his own life.

Great prequel...really makes you wonder how in the world the family had not been split up before then, and how Dean survived childhood since he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders...

I can see one problem with the memory potion...knowledge of battle tactics is a learned experience, trial and error sometimes, by removing the memories skills are forgotten as well...

Man, I feel so bad for the boys! They can't tell the social workers what's going on (cuz they wouldn't believe it), and they can't get help. Number 1 pet peeve: using "Parenting is hard!" as an excuse to neglect and abuse your children. It just grates my nerves.

Really liked this story. I've read similar ones, but this story was well rounded and I felt that the characterizations were fairly consistent. Question...If Mr. Prescott was a doctor and now recovered from being possessed by Yellow Eyes, then why didn't he help with Sam and Dean's wounds. Or at least fix his own wife's face?

I liked that story a lot. You showed John's emotional dilemma so well. I still think he made the wrong decision (in the show, but not telling Sam and Dean what the demon was after, only telling Dean to kill his brother) ... But you wrote all these dark emotions brilliantly! Especially the truth our hurt game... Ouch! Thank you from Germany!
