I really like this, well written. Love if you wrote something else like this... The plot line of the pregnancy was well thought out. Alan shutting his family out as he feels they have shut him out, and deciding to stand on his own instead. A lot of mis-communication and not seeing from the others point of view. Maybe Alan working himself to the point of being sick (for grades/activities like a sport) and the others unrealizing pushing him even further because they don't actually know anything about his life (like pushing him to get better grades when they're already really good but Alan thinks because they are pushing it's not good enough for them). This time no Hood being at fault just simple family being complicated. That would be good.

Such a way with character development. Wholeheartedly recommend
