This was an amazing story and I love the writing style, you did well with it. I've never read a story like this you have suceeded in creating a unique and well written one-shot. The 'he's not screaming, he's whispering' bit got overly repetetive I think, but that is personal opinion. After the first couple of times I think you could have left out the clarification and we would have gotten the effect anyway. I did love the effect though, and I loved the reversal of it in the later portions of the fic. Beautiful story!

Great story, you're really good at writing angst (I've read "Poker Face" too). The descriptions were lovely and really made my heart palpitate. I hope to see more of these stories

I read this and thought that you deserved more than just a single tiny review, so I decided to post a really really long one XD.

This is an amazingly written one shot, the emotion carried through is simply beautiful, and it made my heart jump into my throat and stay there, no matter how many times I read it, the emotional impact is just the same.

I don't know who I feel most sorry for; Kakashi, Genma or Raidou! After all, Raidou lost his face, Genma thought that he lost his friend and Kakashi had to deal with the fallout of it all!

The language used in it is beautiful, and the sentence structure is brilliant, the way you throw in the odd short sentence really conveys the sense of panic and worry. Also the italics with Genmas thoughts induce a certain type of horror, and you sort of panic along with him because of them.

At least I was XP.

Also the way that the volume was different for the two character is really well done, as a reader we can see the disturbed state of Genmas mind from it.

And OH MY GOD the confrontation moment between Kakashi and Genma! I was seroiusly way on my way to a heart attack at that stage! For a second I seriously thought that Genma would kill him and then completely flip, and I was like 'NO!' but all was good, so I'm glad, and my impending heart attack was averted XP.

And the ending was just simply wow!

Anyway this was a super super one shot! Well done!
