What a nice response. Too bad he didn't take it that way on the actual show. I loved the fic, especialy with Rodney knowing first, I really felt like they ignored him as a part of their family in the ep by him not finding out with the others.

Wonderful story. Always love alittle whump. Nice reveal on Teyla's pregnancy. Would love this as a series. How the team handles Teyla's preganancy and how Teyla just doesn't want to be handled at all. Thanks for the story. Have a Happy New Year.

Teyla/McKay stories and scenes always amuse me. They are so perfectly matched in their own way. H/C in the moring always satisfies, as well, and I do like the hefty doses of it here. And also that McKay guessed that Teyla was pregnant. She is a determined woman and I have no doubt that she would want to continue with the team and fighting galactic enemies-the problem is whether doing so is practical or advisable. In the series, Keller hasn't told anyone, either, perhaps believing that it isn't her business to reveal the truth. I question her judgment, just as I would question her not informing the team and Carter about an expedition member with any medical condition that might jeopardize their performance on missions. As fanfic writers, we take our cues from the show itself. Keller's delay and Teyla's desire to keep her condition a secret sway us into thinking that this is more than just personal preference, but also the wise thing to do. Personally, I disagree that Teyla's pregnancy hasn't been revealed to Sheppard and the rest. And I wonder whether the team will necessarily be happy with the news.

However, in terms of this story and the adventures in it, McKay is pitch-perfect when he finds out-awkward, fumbling, frightened and mildly accusatory. I do expect a similar reaction from him when the real show finally gets around to telling him. Sheppard and Ronon will probably not take the news lightly. In our society, pregnancy is considered a universally joyous event (or, we are told it is). In another society, in another galaxy, it might be thought of as something of a threat or, at least, a bother.

Nice friendship between Teyla and Rodney. Carrying a child doesnt make a woman weak but it does mean that certain percautions may have to be taken. All sorts of things can go wrong and some woman can suffer miscarriage and complications if they exert themselves too much during pregnancy. So I find Teyla's assumption that no one has any right to treat her any differntly a bit unbelievable. Maybe her mother did fight and carry on as normal during her pregnancy but that doesnt mean that Teyla's would be the same. Rodney was correct when he said that she could have put their lives in danger as well as her unborn child. Customs may be different with the Athosians but Teyla is on John's team now and not amongst her people, and he had every right to know of her condition. I really dont see John taking it this well either, he would be shocked and I feel a little betrayed that she kept it from him.

I LOVED IT! That was so sweet! Rodney who was worried about her.. And it's nice to read a different reaction from John and Ronon. Great job! Is there going to be a sequince? :D

Yay! All finished before the weekend is out.

Poor Keller I can't blame her for wanting to kick them out. I like how Sheppard is the oblivious one.
