The scene with the crew shaving their heads for Lucas was so touching!

I love seeing the team be there for Lucas. The level of detail you've poured into this story is fantastic. I was slightly thrown off by the Miguel/Tim. Is that actually canon or did you just stick that in there?

That was amazing! What a ride; long and what a row of tough subjects but great characterisation throughout. I don't know why I didn't read this story years ago, but I'm glad I did now.

Oh man, this chapter runs the gamut of emotions-left, right, sideways and upside down. Poor Lucas, all the crap he's going through. I really love Nathan's attempting to control what must be some serious rage as he uncovers more of the gross things Lawrence and Cynthia did to their son, as well as watchin Lucas suffer through all the medical mess.

It's cute and interesting to see an implied Miguel/Tim relationship. not a pairing i ever considered, but what i said above.

Adore the hint of Ben/Katie you show when he comes back from his mother's funeral. It's so true and stands to reason that she, of all people, would be able to understand how he feels on that level. &hearts

and the end of this chapter is great too...seeing Kristin's inner rage and then her holding Lucas up to and after he ends up falling asleep...sigh. love it. hope to be able to read some more soon.

WOW, this is a hell of a start. You have everyone down well and I look forward to cameos from the crewmembers you haven't shown yet. Poor Lucas...i don't know which parent was worse to him. do hope that whatever court takes on the case nails them to the frigging wall!

I like the use of quotations. Reading this reminds me of how long it's been since I've worked on my "Lawrence is redeemed" story and that I should get back to it. Nice use of emotion.

I just wanted to say that this was truly a fantastic read. I adore stories where the proper respect has been shown for everything - the characters, the storylines and most importantly the sensitive issues your story broached such as Child Abuse and Cancer.

It was a very hard read at times, it being emotional and traumtic, but because of the deep respect you showed throughout, it was also a thoroughly enjoyable read too.
