Sorry for not reviewing each chapter but this was a really good story angsty but not as heavy as you expect good job love

This was absolutely darling! The way you wrote it and the feelings and emotions was beyond perfection. I could feel every tinge of guilt and every lustful hope they shared with one another. Hollis and Sutherland were decoys and they way you played with their characters was amazing in itself.

I could definitely read more like this! great job.

You write so very well. Great stuff. I think the darkness and betrayal is very human, very - and perhaps sadly - very real.

The final paragraph was a strong insight, really enjoyed this whole piece.

Wow... I loved this. The characterizations were amazing. And I just loved how McGee was the one that was there to kind of be the loyal knight behind Jenny. All I could say was "Aw". Probably not the reaction you were expecting, but it is what it is, I guess. LOL!

And what a bittersweet ending. Loved that, too. I shamelessly love those sorts of endings. Where things are 'happy' but you know they're not quite resolved. :) I'm a sucker for that, yup.

"Just before he pulled away he caught sight of Gibbs’ face, illuminated by his headlights, he looked tired and McGee didn’t like seeing him look that way." - No, that he (McGee) would not.

“The Director doesn’t agree with my approach on our latest case – apparently I’ve been causing ripples higher up the food chain. I was just reminding her that it was her job to smooth over ripples.” “And I was just telling Gibbs that unfortunately I’ve not yet been granted the ability to perform miracles.” It was a little alarming how easily they lied;" - What was very impressive was how in sync they did it, though, the lying.

“I don’t like this Ducky,” Abby said, as she leaned her head on his shoulder. “The Director and Gibbs are mad with each other, Tony and Ziva squabble all the time and even McGee’s gone all hinky.” - Leave it to Abby to sum up the whole catastrophe in about twenty syllables!

AW, I envy Jen a bit, now! I would LOVE to go to dinner with Ducky!

"As he walked towards the elevator he heard Tony mutter, “someone’s got his probie pants in a twist,” a comment that wasn’t worth dignifying with a response. “Shut up DiNozzo.” Gibbs intervention effectively ended the conversation" - My thoughts exactly, thank you, Gibbs.

I like it. I always though Jenny was the perfect foil to Gibbs' character, and I was disappointed that the writers didn't expand on that.

M, probably my favorite of yours. You're fantastic at this really, all of your stuff is just brilliant. Particulalry the fact that you put so much darkness and unhappiness in. Of course, I can't get enough of the angst, so maybe that's just me. You always make it so frustrating to watch them be so stupid and so right at the same time. Because, realistically, they probably never would have had a real happy ending.

Hey there, I'm a NCIS newbie but I've watched already all the last 3 seasons (the ones with Jenny in them). I've come to love Jenny and Gibbs relationship and I think it was the best one and it's a shame they decided to end it. Anyway, I've been trying for a long time to find some good Jibbs stories, because it's a lot harder than any other couple I shipped, Gibbs and Jen aren't characters so easy to read and to write. So far, I haven't had too much luck, all the fics I read were more or less out of characters and I couldn't find that wonderful something that was created between them. Until now. I've just read all your fic and I think it's been the best I've ever read. And, believe me, I've read a lot of them. I was so sorry it ended, it kept me glued to the screen until now (in Italy it's 2.15 am). I think feedback are very important because you don't really get anything from what you write and though I know fanfic writers do that firstly because they feel like doing it, I think it's only fair to write to you and tell how much you've been good, because you gave me a big gift today, you made me dream and that's not an easy task, let me tell you that. Falling into the "childish" and may I say "girlish" way of writing Jen and Jethro is so easy, because they're so real adult characters and they left so much to the viewer to fill the holes in their life that it's a really hard job staying faithful to them and at the same time creating a new story, a new romance between them that doesn't betray them and, in this case, me.

So, thank you so much for this, you're really good and I'll surely check out your other stories (I'm hoping you have others, lol) tomorrow. :)

sorry for the english, I've learnt it by watching Stargate Atlantis so, you know, I tend to know more english words like "beam them out!" than some more ordinary ones. ;)
