I like this. Rosarita is a character who is so torn, all the time. Diego, or Zorro?
But I really love that you have her disregard for Zorro shown here... It isn't Zorro she wants, but the Diego she wants won't rise to take her.
I like her realizations. Very nice.

Just as it’s original, I loved to read this story.

A well done companion piece, complementing the original just perfectly. A good insight in the senorita’s thoughts.

The ending you chose fitted perfectly with it’s companion’s ending, Diego longing for her to wait and Rosarita promising to wait, just a perfect ending to a wonderful companion piece!

I am just kidding, of course. This is a great story to complement "Please Wait For Me" and it is a very interesting idea to complete someone else's one shot. They are very well paired together and provide great insight into the other half of the conversation. It was a very good idea from you! I particularly liked the ending... Diego wanted her to wait for him, and there she is, telling herself she will. OMG they gotta end up together! ahah :)

This is a wonderful companion piece to Halfpenny’s “Please Wait For Me.” It gives terrific insight into what Rosarita was thinking and why she said those things to Diego. It also makes it all the more tragic these two characters have so much in common, yet neither will take the first step into breaking the wall down between them. I love the ambiguous ending (you are so good with those) - Does she know? Brilliantly done!

Splendidly done. :) As wonderful as the original. One question I forgot to ask when reading it [the original]: Who is Rosarita? I only recently started watching the show. I've absolutely no idea whatever who she is. Exellent story.

For someone who is supposed to be so intelligent is seems this Rosarita is extremely confused. Don't you think she wouldn't be so mystified over Diego if she was as smart as she thinks she is?
