Has a good story looking for more

There is so much to comment on. I said I'd come back to review but it's so hard to know where to start. But here goes. The action/violence is well-written and proper scary. I really felt for each of the characters and their responses to this awful chain of events all fit with them as individuals. Kaylee's trauma :( Simon's guilt. Each one of them being so brave, and then the unharmed crew returning and just baffled because they have no idea what everyone's been through. It really brought home to me how immersed I've been in events in Serenity. Powerful writing.

The OCs are really strong and I think the time you take establishing them is worthwhile. I understand it's not everyone's taste but in a long, developed plot, I don't think cardboard cut-outs will work and these antagonists are convincing and well fleshed-out. Particularly in the context of the longer story-arc.

I like River's experience of Book coming round. So comforting in the middle of things going so wrong. And poor Mal and his poor head. :(

I'm on my re-read now, taking time over reading and interrupting myself here to review. I love River and Jayne's encounter, being ceiling fans. You don't write long descriptions but somehow it's very vivid. I like your writing.
NB you're educating me, I've had to look up how to pronounce OENEUS. OO- nee-us? Oh-NEE-us? I now know, I think, that it's EE-NEE-us... ?

Just finished tickets and it was a little up and down. I liked the story but I thought the characters was off. Not sure I could explain how or why, they just felt off. I did not read the first part of this story and I have not read the third part yet so maybe I will have a better understanding of why the characters feel so wrong once I do.

Anyway thank you for a nice tale and think I am going to use this story in a private Traveller game I run. As I said I liked the story.

I just read this whole story and found it pretty amazing. Zoe's anger at Inara and her silent protection of him was the most perfect characterization I have ever seen on the site. I don't know about River still thinking that over. Mal and Inara goes a long ways to explaining the character we meet in Mal at the opening of the movie. That was very very well done. Inara still really doesn't understand Mal though, she hasn't been where he has been until she is they do not fully work. What she did discover in your story is that she is much more like Mal than she would ever have thought, she is violent when provoked Companion training be damned. I have to say i enjoyed your take on it.

Ok, what? Did Mal just have a psychotic break and go into a fugue state? That or "he's still back in the matrix and this entire story has been an illusion despite being told from multiple points of view". Which I would feel a bit cheated by. Well, I'll just have to keep reading and find out.

River and Jase get smooches, Wash and Zoe get closeness, Kaylee finally makes a move on Simon (even if not for the best reasons) and Mal and Inara FINALLY admit what's obvious to anyone with half a brain!

Huzzah! Great chapter overflowing with shiny warm fuzzies! Thank you; I've been having an annoying time lately and this really did break me out of a bad mood.

Oh poor Kaylee! I think this is the worst thing that could happen - she just seems broken. I hope she recovers.

Zoe's words to Mal are a good sign. I hope they result in Mal getting up the nerve to tell Inara how he feels. I really want to see them together.

Ok, this guy Will is starting to disturb my calm. I hope he suffers a thoroughly nasty, painful, demeaning, and most of all, *protracted* death.

I hope Inara doesn't get hurt. With luck Ray will keep Will off of her. And it's about time for River to look at the little squiddy fruit bar and go appropriately berserk. Yep. Most definitely time.

Crazy time River is always fun.

I like how you've been doing the interchronic storylines, working from the ends back to the center (now). Interesting device and it keeps things engaging. I'm curious as to how / why Inara is going to end up back on the ship, becaus ain't no way in the 'Verse that she's really gone.

Huzzah! FINALLY someone figured out that River is not just babbling nonsense! All the way through the series I wanted to smack them for being so gorram clueless.

Also, Wash and his dinosaurs are hilarious. :)

I absolutely love Xaiojun! Such a well-done character!
