mojoman3061 chapter 1 . 8/18/2008 Nice job on a cozy Christmas tale! You write in English as if it's your first language. All that's missing is chestnuts roasting on an open fire ;-) One or two details: When Lizzie says "I'd love too," it should be "I'd love to." A spellchecker isn't going to catch that. Also, if Lizzie's in law school in the USA, she's graduated from college. She's no younger than 22 (maybe 21) years old. In your summary, you say she's 20. As for eels, in the murder mystery party episode, Sam interrupted Lizzie and Gordo on the porch by telling them they're missing the eel-cooking competition. |
BirdFeeder chapter 1 . 6/1/2008 Well, you've been reviewing my story so much, I had to come by and read yours. This was very good, and as your other reviewer noted, your English is fine! Tho I do wonder about that whole business with the eels. I don't ever remember seeing anything about eels on the show. Is that something you do in Holland? You had some good lines in there, like that bit when she is writing in the card: It had to be something between “Where were you all this time?” and “Let’s get married”. I liked that. Also the image of Gordo in the Santa hat with the pocketbook. Very funny! Only, I can tell you are a guy, because no girl would ever go that long without noticing that her pocketbook (purse, handbag) was missing! Well, this got me right in the mood for Christmas. Too bad it's the middle of summer! I think you should try to write another story. BGM |
christylee chapter 1 . 12/25/2007 This was a very sweet story, quite enjoyable. And don't worry about your English. If you hadn't mentioned that English is not your first language, I would have never known! Very nice. Please write some more Lizzie stories! christy |
