This was just lovely. I really enjoyed the notion that each of them don't believe they are good enough for one another-how true this often is in real life! If only people would be honest with each other, I dare say a lot of heartbreak could be saved. I loved the subtle details-the tears on the pages, the drunken nights, the unspoken words. I loved the content, but I don't like how it was written in past tense from third person. My suggestion would be to add points of views to make it more intimate and less like someone was just telling a story. I liked how you incorporated the seasons, and you portrayed Shunsui as "safe" and explained exactly why he thought he was. It provided unique insight that was very enlightening. Thank you.

As I mentioned on LJ, seeing your icon reminded me about this story, which I really loved. The prose in this story has a wonderful lyrical flow and a poetic beauty. It's a great style for the length of the story, and takes the reader through several emotions in the course of a short time. And the last line, "She said yes," is a perfect ending.
