Can we have a sequel?

I really enjoyed this fic. Your writing style is perfect for this genre and I loved your ideas.

Your's was probably my favourite Starbuck. I found her much more real in this story then in so many others. You spent time on her character and her relationships. I liked the mentorship between Cain and Kara. I was impressed at how you developed them to balance each other. I also liked the way she became the link between the two fleets. She provided a common ground for Adama and Cain.

The only downside to your story was that it ended. I'd like to read about Kara being groomed for leadership and her conflict between loyalties. A sequel would make me absolutly happy.

Great Story! I have to admit i have really soft spot for any Adama-Kara fic (no not shippy, but more fraternal-ship - I also enjoyed your "Making of a Starbuck").

Even though you say your story isn't Razor compliant - I love how you refer to the fact of Kara reining in the worst of Cain's impulses. I really felt bummed in Razor when Adama listed Roslin, Saul and Lee, but LEFT OUT KARA on the list of people he felt were his conscience. Meh, maybe Kara and Cain were a better fit mentorship-wise.

I also dig how Cain is grooming Kara for command, following through with her bid. Adama also sorted hinted at training Kara for CiC in Season 1, episode 10, and at the Minis but never followed through later on.

I really really do hope you continue this AU story. I'd like to see more of your version of Cain and I dig that Kara outranks Lee. Its also nice that Kara who has such an abusive childhood, is now in the middle of a turf war between Dad (Adama) and Mom (Cain). Surely Cain and Roslin will better friends? now that they are going back to Caprica for the Arrow (and maybe cancer-cure?) Maybe even Kendra and the first cute XO can make an appearance too... So many possibilities! If you need an ear to bounce ideas from ...

I really like this premise. I hope you continue this story.

This is really, really good! I like how Kara has reigned in Cain. Can't wait for more.

Ok. I approve of how you spent your time today. This fic was fantastic and I can totally see an AU series coming out of it. But I won't force you to write it.

I enjoyed the interaction between Cain and Adama, how they were able to find common ground over Kara. And how in the end, Adama made up with Starbuck.

Wow. I haven't surrendered any reviews in a great long while, but this story definitely was worth the pain on my fingers. (medical problem) It's been ages since I've read a really good Starbuck filled love fic. This is truly wonderful. Loved the relationship with Cain although her ways of instilling decipline is disturbing. But Kara seem to accept it in exchange for a little kindness from Cain towards human kind which makes me wonder if they could have had this kind of relationship had Cain survived on the show.

I think my most favorite part of this story is when Kara went down. The way it brought the two military leaders to work together in trying to find her. And then Adama finding out just how Cain punishes Starbuck & telling her he can't allow that kind of treatment to continue. Go Papadama. And then the bombshell. Cain wants Starbuck to be her heiress to her Admiralness. I had the goofiest grin on my face. I've fallen in love with Cain, heh. Then she hands her the Colonel pins, aw.

Now Cain thinking that at least Starbuck didn't have to choose between her & Adama this time. My gut is telling me that day is coming? Not too soon yet I hope.
