I just read your story. I love it! My father was a Vietnam Vet and the number of homeless people who are veterans is 70% mostly Vietnam vets. I lost my dad 2 years ago. Sorry for my rambling. I loved this story, I love how protective you make Dean. I love the earlier seasons and of course pre season. Thank you for sharing your art. Thank you for including a vietnam vet. Makes me feel close to my dad again. Like he is looking out for me, like the soldier from your story. :)

Wow. I'm impressed with your story. I guess I wasn't expecting that and I thought it was really sad at first but then it got so light and beautiful in a way. I really loved how the story turned out with the 'there's still beauty in the world kind of thing'. I thought Dean was just super awesome with the way he took care of Sam. wow! i know its not even vaguely near xmas right now but i saw this and had to read it. i had kinda seen the jason thing coming but it was still totally awesome! i cried at the end. its odd coz i started crying as soon as you mentioned the velveteen rabbit. i had that book when i was little and i loved it. its sad and happy all at the same time, and i think thats what youve done with this story. i have officially decided that i love you! (in a non-awkward way!)

Fantastic job. Jeez, my emotions were just all over the place while reading this fic! I almost burst into tears with that one line, ” he couldn't allow himself to think that his last memory of Sam would be soundless tears and the mute, yet deafening, words, "You were right." ”. And omg, the scene with dean and sam dressed as christmas characters? Priceless. Great job!
