I wish you would continue this! So in character... great job
poetif chapter 1 . 12/5/2015
This story was written nearly 8 years ago and it still successfully ripped my heart apart. I love happy endings, I'm a sucker for them and refuse to write anything else. This is because of the rarity of happy endings in real life. So when I have the control, happily ever after it is. And though I knew going into this story that more than likely it wasn't gonna happen like that, I read on. I am a hopeless romantic apparently, and this story, with its push, pull, give and take, with it's grittiness and ache and warmth and longing, I suffered right along with these well written, true to form characters. And though the ending hurt like hell, I did not regret the journey.

FancyMandie chapter 1 . 4/13/2014
I'm a little confused as to why this was rated M. Besides some cussing, there really wasn't any reason why it should be that. Besides that, I enjoyed this. Plans to continue?

Holy shit.. you just blew my mind!

This story, holy Moses I can't even begin to fathom how deeply it moved me. I totaly understood all the anguish behind your words. I have been there, I know! You almost, just almost moved me to tears. Thank you for this story. All I could ask for was more. Yeah, I want more. They need closure after the dramatic ending. I want to know if the story is a "Happily ever after" or a stone-cold reality peice. Thank you for this story :]
Hazmatt chapter 1 . 10/24/2009

RebeccaInley chapter 1 . 6/3/2008
Wow. This was so well written - I can't even put it into words. The tension between the two was nearly palpable, as was the obvious love. The entire thing was so beautiful; it made me tear up several times. I was hoping for a happy ending, but this was much more realistic and so much more meaningful.

PS: I know I'm reviewing way after this was posted, but I just came across it. And, hey, who doesn't like reviews?
Heavenly Moments chapter 1 . 2/15/2008
Beautiful.
AllInBlack24 chapter 1 . 1/9/2008
This piece is a spectacular piece of penmanship.

I could feel the conflict that the characters had with the decisions they had to make.

The dialogue was believable and clear.

The world that you created in side of canon is to the point and just what is called for.

I could put myself in Olivia's shoes.

The emotions were raw and not glossed over. They were what a real person would feel in a real world situation.

Very Good work.
mrslee chapter 1 . 12/22/2007
Here I am looking for something light and fluffy and EO (and hopefully smutty) to spur me into action for my own fic and I come across this story. Not only have you filled my head with this wonderful EO relationship, but this tangible emotion that tore at my insides and made me cry. I cried with these characters, I felt their feelings vibrating off the computer screen at me.

These characters are so alive and so true to the show characters (and better) that it scared me. I never thought I'd come across something so beautifully constructed and well-written in my life. I've read some that have come close, but I think this takes the cake. And the gold medal.

The ending was just, I can't put it into words, all it's done is made me cry again because the EO relationship is so beautiful and complex. They so obviously love each other so much, but there's so much to risk. I personally think that it's worth the risk, but it's up to the writers to figure out how to convey the balance.

The EO shipper in me who wants a happy ending for everything begs for a sequel or another chapter where Elliot leaves Kathy. But I know this is probably an apt ending.

This was sensational, and I'll be highly recommending it in the next chapter of my fic.

Glorious stuff, well done.

Loved it!
Elisabeth Carmichael chapter 1 . 12/18/2007
Wow. I must applaud you. For doing what so few dare to do. For crafting this brilliant piece that strays from the traditional smut, fluff, or discord and paints such a tragically sad and poignantly believable story for these two eternally bound hearts.

I felt Olivia's need to be drunk, to wash away the sorrows, to sink to the lowest levels of despair. I felt the passion and frustration. I felt the somber joy. I felt the welling of tears. And I felt the bizarrely wonderful levity as a half-existence was dispelled and Olivia rejoined the living.

A sequel would be wonderful for the E/O shipper in me. But the writer in me, the poet, the tragedian recognizes the beauty is in the singularity and cannot beg you a furtherance.

Brava! Your artistry is magnificent! Brava!
