Wowie... that was great! I loved this story, because Barricade happens to be my absoloute favourite 'Con and i like to think of him something like this to.

Oh, and the randomess and funnies dotted through the fic brightened my depressing day immensley, so thankies :D

My review didn’t go through last night – there was more to it than the previous one. What I did want to say is though I realise you said in Chapter 1 that under Barricade’s tough exterior you’d like to think he *could* be a big softie. But one aspect of Barricade’s character is that he is a liar – he revels in gaining another’s trust only to smash it to smithereens and he loving every moment of seeing the look of betrayal.

I understand that Barricade could be playing cool to keep Kathryn happy at the moment, but afterwards when he’s healed? But don’t Cybertronians have self-regenerating systems anyway? Maybe not at the rate Kathryn could attempt to fix him, but she is dealing with an alien robotic life form that even though he has taken on an Earth-originated vehicle (go the smexy Saleen), doesn’t necessarily equate to her being able to ‘fix’ him.

Okay I can see defection possible or even probable, but Barricade doesn’t seem to have that ‘bad boy’ persona/image about him and I believe that is what draws people to his character. Please, I’m not bagging, it’s just little things that make Barricade sound OOC and tend to make me confused over his interaction with Kathryn – there just doesn’t seem to be much development between them so they can bond. Barricade can acknowledge the help she has given him, without forming an attachment to her.

Anyways, great to hear you’re a Trekkie fan (yay!) Perhaps you could try a crossover with TF and ST? Just thought I’d add my thoughts, so take care till next time!
