I just knew Kanda would end up dead TT Still makes it sad, though.
I was half-expecting Mother Shadow to play a bigger role in the 'final battle' scene, and possibly end up sacrificing herself (it's female right?) to save Allen or something. But this works too

I love this AU and how you've made it all work out. The characters are all wonderful and recognizable and just really well done, and this story as a whole is just full of amazingly original ideas and interesting plot twists. I'm sad and happy that it's over...if that makes any sense at all.
I wish you'd done a little more on Cross or something (I originally thought Cross was the one who killed Lenalee's parents), but this has a complete sense of closure, and any changes would be such a waste...

I read this story on the recommendation of a friend, on the promise that I wouldn't be disappointed... but I certainly am. At first I was willing to let the egregious lack of description slide because I expected your writing style to improve, but boy was I wrong. If anything, you've been getting sloppier and sloppier. You focus on the most inane details while leaving out the most important ones, and honestly, I'm certain that I'm not the only one that you're boring to death with this story.

Not only that, but the interaction between the characters is just ridiculous. I usually don't mind that much out of character behavior for an AU story... but Jesus, this takes the cake. I think you need to pay a little more attention to how normal people act around each other. I finally decided I need to write a review on this chapter in particular because it reached a new low...

Allen and Lavi are always extremely out of character and they NEVER behave in an even remotely normal manner... their emotions are always so ridiculous, so unbelievable, so ungrounded... I want to read something that will have me crying along with everyone, laughing, hurting... and I'm getting NOTHING from this story at all except sheer boredom and the occasional moment of mirth over obvious errors.

Also, I think you need to research the very foundation of this fic a little bit more. You're writing about assassins, but it all seems very... surreal. If I'm questioning the accuracy of your information and I know nothing about assassins myself, that's bad.

Here, I'll provide you with an example of the kind of error I'm talking about. After Daisya injures Komui, he realizes he's not dead, yet he runs away because he hears the voices of villages in the distance. Well, if they all know that the cost of a failed assassination attempt is death, torture, or something similarly horrible, why wouldn't he just finish Komui off quickly and then run away, since apparently assassins really aren't pursued by the police... and on top of that, Daisya had a gun, so it wouldn't have been that difficult to shoot Komui a few times and leave.

Look, you're certainly not the worst author, but you could really use improvement. Your style needs a lot of work, but keep at it. :)
