It is truly rare to see a work of such great talent, and, unfortunately, on this site, at least so far as I have seen, it is far rarer to see one completed. I suppose it is because there are no rewards for writing other than praise, and one cannot live on praise alone. That is why people go to school and work in "real life," which, I understand, is much more important than any fanfiction, no matter how expertly portrayed and presented, no matter how many fans have been waiting eagerly to learn more.

Thank you so much for a wonderful beginning and beginning-middle. I would not say we really got to a true "middle" until it became clear what the overarching conflict would be over the entire story, or at least understood it more specifically. For example, if there were any indication that a means of escape for Desmond and/or James was closing in, or if there were indications of a major turning point approaching for Altaïr and Malik. By the way, I just noticed that we have never seen Kadar, so far. I wonder if he is yet born, if he is still with his parents, and, if so, how he will have ended up becoming an assassin.

Oh, well. Thank you again. I will go on to more stories, but this one has been truly special, and I hope that you are able to apply whatever it is about you that makes your writing so powerful to important pursuits in your career.

A curious story, although I sincerely hope that the simulation does not carry as far as Malik's brother's death. That would probably turn James and Desmond's relationship shaky. Well written, in any case.
