I will say, this is definitely an interesting build up! Very nice suspense and a tad creepy as she sneaks below ground, I like it!

This is amazing. I love the argument between Zim and Dib; how Zim was upset that Dib hadn't been spying on him or trying to dissect him, and Dib countered by saying that Zim hadn't been trying to take over the world or kill him. Basically, they weren't paying attention to each other. And I love these particular lines: "I'm the only one who cares about your miserable life, and you're the only one that gives a damn about me being alive!" "Can't you see we only have each other?" "I'm just tired of fighting the only friend I had in my whole existence." and "You're the closest thing I have to one!" Also, love that this is in Gretchen's POV! So cool!

Oh my poor baby Gretchen! I am so torn between her and Dib and ZaDR! GAH! And this didn't help at all!

(Btw it was amazing and I loved every word.)

Gretchen's emotions make her very easy to empathize with; and moving into the moment of Dib's revelation of his feelings to Zim allows the reader a real understanding of the emotions portrayed by all three characters. Good job
