Ah, so Naruto has Stockholm Syndrome. Someone needs to get him a therapist.

(( It's another cliche Stockholm syndrome story that been done dozens of times before))

It's ironic that this chapter starts with a complaint about abandoned WIPs, since this fic is also an abandoned WIP. XD

The fic had some potential, but there were some aspects of it that seemed a little immature, like Sasuke deciding he HAD to have Naruto after seeing him just once. Or Sasuke being a total bastard to Naruto, while secretly being in love with him. Naruto being unable to stay out of trouble is also a rather juvenile trope, the idea that there must be a "princess" character who always needs saving. (Sasuke came to the rescue twice already in this fic. Or it would have been twice already if you'd completed the part where he gets Naruto back from Shino.) Naruto has the mentality of a child, but he's also been living on his own and can certainly take better care of himself than this!

It's just a trait I see a lot with young writers of pairing fics to have one character who is completely overbearing and controls the entire relationship (Sasuke) and to have another character who the plot treats like a rag doll that gets tossed around from situation to situation with very little agency of his own. In this fic, Naruto got kidnapped, had to put up with Sasuke being a pervert, got hurt at the castle, and now he's been captured (again) by Shino. This fic literally turned Naruto into a pet! Not once in 10 chapters has he truly been able to make his own decisions. You could count escaping as a decision, but he immediately got captured after that, so that was the end of what little agency he had left. Basically, you gave him some freedom only to get him into another bad situation where his decisions were taken away from him once again.

Oh well. Even if you've moved on from fic writing, I hope you're doing well wherever you are. :)

I am rather glad to have found this story again after so long. I was wanting to get back to it but forgot.

I am willing to find out more of Naruto's past and more of Sasukes beef with Itachi.

Shall you update again but let me not forget?
