This entire short tale was hilarious and very much in character with the rest of the series! OMG, I laughed out loud during some parts! They should have made this into an episode!

One of my favorite parts was when Aladdin asked the Sultan for advice on the drinking contest. "Um, well, I believe that was the night Jasmine's mother became... Jasmine's mother." i can also imagine the Sultan looking ridiculously adorable and thoughtful as he spoke this nonchalantly! And Aladdin shaking his head as he left, not wanting to think about those implications...

It's interesting that I can also envision Razoul and Aladdin bonding over something as macho as a drinking contest. If that doesn't help their relationship, what will? XD

This whole story is one of the lost episodes of the series, definitely.

I didn't get the references to the attackers but I like the concept.

I have to thank Cantare for recommending this fic to me...This was HILARIOUS. I mean, that line about the ode to the throw rug being unsettling...and Mozenrath's "I literally have nothing else to do" were both absolutely perfect. I died of laughter reading this. Great job.

Oh man. This was just nonstop laughs. I can't believe this. Wow. I think the only story that is comparable to this is the Nine Months Saga in the DBZ fandom...or maybe Zerosoul's all's fair in love and sorcery, also in the Aladdin fandom.

Characterizations - perfect. Writing humor while keeping everyone in character is not that easy to do. Great job! And all the additional quirks you threw in for each character, like Carpet's keeping a journal (?) and writing a R or X-rated ode to a throw rug (!); Jasmine getting drunk and in bed with two servant girls (yeah, Al missed out there); Genie's hashish filled youth (loved that question he posed about his face by the way, LOL), and many more. I love how you swept the rug from under Mozenrath's cool persona (all other authors including myself tend to elevate him probably beyond what he deserves) and basically made him a total loser. I sadly haven't watched the Uncouthma episode, but once I do I'll probably like that part of your story a lot better. The way Genie defeated Mechanicles was quite an underhanded witty move.

And on the actual drinkers themselves, excellent portrayal. Wow. The steady progression from hostile enemies to slightly buzzed to drunk to singing 70s songs together...so awesome. And of course the scene jumping back and forth from them to the action works for even more of a comical effect.

I sincerely hope you'll write more in this fandom! Take care and congrats on an amazing story (though I'm late to review it).

They don't get any funnier than this. I've read this story twice, and still can't get over it. Nothing like a good old-fashioned drinking contest. The characters were dead on!
