I really liked this story - your first two chapters in particular because you did a great job with detail and really giving insight into the characters relationship. You also did it while following the lines set for you by the comic itself - so brava.

However, the last few chapters lag a bit as they simply follow the comic - basically rewriting it. Of course there's nothing wrong (you sneak in so much I would have LOVED to see in the comics at the time of the events!) with doing that but what really caught my attention was your description of Billy's feelings when he saw Teddy shift into Iron Lad. I would love to see you go more into those conflicted feelings - I bet you could do wonders! But as the story doesn't say 'complete' yet I have no clue where it's headed and can only hope you'll get back to this soon!
