I like this better than the canon episode, thank you for this.

So, when you came back to this story, I'd gotten out of the fandom. I knew I'd be back one day (ha! Here I am!), but I'm pretty sure I didn't review this.

NEW FANON (in this case) ACCEPTED! This is so much better than the original, it's unreal. I'm not saying that no effort went into the other one or that I don't understand (a whole heck of a lot better now than I did then), but it's still my least favorite episode of the entire series.

If I ever get any time on my hands, I may go through and illustrate it. That would be super fun. Bet I'd learn a lot...

This was a lovely rewrite. An episode that I probably wouldn't have disliked if it had been like this!

Oh, this has been a really amazing story to read. Very intense, it makes me want to do my own version of Phantom Planet, only without him removing his powers fully, he uses the Fenton Ghostcatcher to take Phantom out of him and then hides Phantom from everyone because Masters' Blasters are on the hunt for any and all ghosts.

I actually felt so emotional for the robot's final line. Oh, such a sweet thing.

Ok. It's been years since this story was completed, so it's also years of missed opportunity for me not reading this marvelous treat! (Granted, I'm also a new phan *shrugs*) Still, this is just too good to be true! The amount of details you put on planning, scene transition, and getting the tone right for the show is just truly truly amazing! I salute your incredible writing ability...

But I tried to gather my wits in order to at least write a decent review, which surely will not compare to how much appreciation I wish to express for "Livin' Larger". So here's my thoughts:

The actions (especially the one at the end) are definitely more EPIC than the original. I mean, a house explosion? Certainly wasn't expecting that! But I was surprised in a good way though!

Character development is obviously superb. Weaving a good plot and simultaneously developing all the characters aren't easy, but you somehow managed to do both seamlessly.

I love Danny-bot and the humor he/it brings!

The original episode was much-criticized for dumping down Danny's character (for the sake of Sam's development, they said). I love how your rationale behind his behavior. It made more sense, with respect to Mr. Drop's work of course. This is officially my headcanon for the LL episode.

And it's no wonder that your writing talent has brought you places today! Congratulations on becoming a published author. I wish you luck in whatever you are working right now! :)

Dude! That was awesome! I laughed so so hard when robot Danny asked can we please keep the robot? OMG I actually scared my roommate. lol I found this whole thing refreshing! not perfect but loads less anger inducing than the original Living Large episode. I am glad you remembered ta give credit to the episode writer. Even if it wasnt my favorite episode it wasnt my least favorite either. It still had good moments! which you proved by adding peace's and giving nods to through out your story. Props!

Oh my gosh! This episode has always bothered me for many of the reasons you mention throughout. (especially the robo-friends and Danny's treatment of Tucker and Sam) but I love this rewrite. It has all the elements- and even leaves Danny with his frustrating "I could care less" attitude- but makes his attitude more believable. I know it wouldn't fit in a 30 minute episode. But this has eased a bit of the frustration and confusion brought on by the episode. I loved the idea of the episode and kinda understood what they were going for- but this feel so much more like Danny Phantom than the original episode did.
I don't know if you're reading reviews for this story anymore. sounds like you're off doing bigger better things. But if you do read this I don't think you have anything to be ashamed of. This was beautiful and overall pretty unique- even if you based it off an episode directly. If Mark Drop read this I bet he'd like it. If he doesn't than it would be for reasons I couldn't possibly fathom.
I bet he'd probably like to see the idea flushed out. As you said at one point in your notes the animators don't always get to go full out with their imaginations- limited to a specific time frame and deadline. So seeing it as a whole idea rather than a choppy concept shoved into a hastily developed episode would probably be cool? Maybe? I don't know... I'm rambling about things I couldn't possibly know... and you're probably thinking I'm wired and crazy... so I'll just leave with a quick thank you and abruptly stop talking.

Even if it took you three years and you couldn't fit it all into a 22 minute episode, you still managed to take an episode that made me cringe because of how the characters were treated, and turn it into an episode that I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for writing such brilliant Danny Phantom fan fiction! [::
