Okay, just out of curiousity, why didn't Kingston or Petunia think to ask if Harry had an account with Gringotts? Just curious.

Please continue this story! It's very good so far. And I like seeing Dumbledore not being able to do anything. By now Harry is a US Citizen and they don't take kindly to have anyone kidnapped even if it's for the purpose of going to school. Petunia is after all his legal guardian and Dumbles has been replaced by Kingston.

Could you change Harry's last name again?

Really, if the people he considers mother and father have one last name, why does he have another? He should have gotten his changed to Forge at the same time Petunia did.

I ask because the name 'Dursley' gives me pain since those people are so terrible in the real series.

Oh, and before I forget, a 'House' system is very common in Britain because that is the way they run their muggle schools. But it's practically non-existent over here in America, even in old fashioned East Coast schools. So anything like a Sorting is unliable to happen.

That doesn't prevent there being bullies or other problems (obviously), but it does eliminate the artificial and pointless House rivalries. For sports, our schools play against other schools.

In short, Hogwarts is a very British institution, and Salem ought to be an American one.

Intersting idea with this fic. The only other fic that I've seen where Vernon isn't involved in Harry's upbringing is The Happy Red Prince by LT20. You've done an excellent job with this and I'm quite impressed.
