There is perhaps nothing I enjoy more than playing with people's perceptions of gender. Not everything I write does that, but it is the general force behind a great deal of my writing. Asexual alien robots provide the best arena for that I've ever found, as the assigning of pronouns is random within the confines of sci-fi (if a foregone conclusion in the marketing-of-toys department). Your fic took on that issue beautifully, forcing the reader to consider the nature of her perceptions. Kudos.

...I'm feeling particularly slow tonight, but I actually didn't pick up on the pronoun switch until the balcony. In general this was an excellent execution; you didn't turn the characters into vapid stereotypes, which is what usually makes me click the back button in such things. Thanks for sharing this.

This is one of the most unique takes on PJ I’ve seen. Excellent work on the genderbending – it fits very well and man oh man does it make one think in some very interesting directions. :)

Nice use of Spike, too. Nothing over the top like most authors do with the humans.

It was an interesting (and, frankly, fascinating) twist on the traditional views of our favorite Autobots. It made me mentally rethink their designs, definitely, and there's the automatic impression that perhaps their personalities as we know them are slightly altered. Regardless, you've definitely more than earned a spot on my favorites with this one.
