I was so worried reading that scene with Draco! I was convinced that this would be another story that sets Hermione up to be strong and independent, as she should be, and then immediately undermines it for the sake of Draco being powerful and intimidating. I love the idea of Hermione being cunning and ambitious, and it's a headcanon of mine that she should have been in Slytherin but wasn't because the hat knew she was muggleborn and concerned about her safety. I can't tell you how happy I am that I finished reading the prologue to see her true intentions! I can't wait to see where you take this.

Heard a lot of recs for this story. Like it a lot. Actually, I love marriage law Dramione. This seems slightly different however, than other marriage law fics.

I like this fic but I wish Hermione wasn't such a horrible friend here... It makes me sad how it's implied how a decent but ambitious person could just stab her friend in the back.
