I tend to be a silent reader, however I loved your story. I enjoyed how the story worked out, and your serial killer Mamoru, and the creepy edge. It's got a great structure and I love that you should both of their sides. I do wonder if their paths crossed once more if she would as lucky. A part of me would kill for a sequel (I couldn't resist ) but I can totally see why you left it a one shot.

There's definitely a certain charm for leaving this as a one-shot, even though I sincerely wanted a sequel to this D;
As a multi-chaptered, I would have seen a lot of drama in this. What kind of past this Mamoru must have led to become ... this. And the murder of Rei would have definitely ruined Usagi.

Speaking of her though, your version of Usagi here, as opposed to her usual spunky self, went along nicely with this version of Mamoru. I don't know if she would have survived if she was her original self... though actually, knowing her impulsive and reckless moves, the struggle and outcome might have been a bit hilarious. Not that this situation is funny at all, you definitely got the eerie, serious tone down for him. I liked how you showed us his inner conflict and skepticism during the whole ride, while juxtaposing that to Usagi's complete, utter obliviousness to his intentions and thoughts. And at the end there, how he found all this blood-work as a mere job and straightened his clothing like some normal businessman - perfecto gestures for a serial killer story.

The way you cycled the ending's dialogue back to the beginning was a nice touch as well. Daunting and oh-the dramatic irony. I'm still gonna cross my fingers for that sequel though. No matter what you say.

You have no idea how relieved I was when Usagi wasn't killed. But when you brought Rei in I screamed, "NO!". My poor, poor, Rei.

Now I'm never going to talk to a man ever again.
