I didn't review this? This story dragged me in. I was thinking it was Grandpa at the beginning, then as I neared the end I was thinking 'Oh God. It's Yugi.' I cried at the end. Nicely done.

Geez. First Anzu, now Yuugi? I'm beginning think you enjoy slaying the characters. XD Anyway, very well written, although I first thought Gramps had died when you mentioned the heart attack. I like how you always manage to sum up the character of the characters(no pun intended) for each story. And their personalities are forever changing, from the Ship Sailing series, to the Variation set, and then this. All amazing, and in my top 10 series!

That just blew my whole mind. The ending was surely the climax for me though. I got swept up in the emotions, the fear that it was who I thought it was but the hope that it wasn't. At first I thought it was Yuugi, then I toggled between him and Grandpa. However, when I hit that last line I swear it just sucked the energy right out of me. Fear confirmed and sorrow quickly feeling in. It was beautifully written and I must say...well, there are no words that I'm coherent enough to type that would do this story justice.
