BEST! FANFIC! EVER! I couldn't stop reading!

I must say that the reality of this fic died away somewhat when Yuki decided to be with Monty even after he almost went Psycho on her, but for the sake of a sickeningly sweet ending I guess it doesn't bother me so much.

The depths you went into when explaining Monkey Fist's 'origins' was thoroughly enjoyable AND believable, and even thought this fic was long, there was only ONE instance where I felt compelled to skip large portions.

You turned Monkey Fist back into Montgomery Fiske. Not always using the most believable ways, but MAN was it a joy to read! Thank you for writing this and seeing it through to the end. I really, REALLY enjoyed this.

I first read this fan fiction a few years ago. (I didn't review, because I didn't know anything about back then.) It was about the first real fanfiction I read, and back then I already thought it was awesome. My opinion hasn't changed: this fanfic is really great. I think the way you write seems very professional. If this story wasn't a fanfiction, I think it could even be published as a real book.
So... I don't know much more to say about this. But I really enjoyed reading it, not only the first time but the second time too.

I love what Sensei said: "There's no soul who's past redemption - not even yours." I freakin LOVE that! just sayin' I love you story btw!

I finally finished! I loved this story from start to end and I have to say, this has to be one of the most well written, thought-out stories I've ever read!

It took me a couple of days to read this story, but it was epic. The whole flash forward flash backward thing was something I hadn't come across before, but I like it. I highly respect you for managing to finish something so long as this. I have way too many half finished stories lying about my computer.

I am definitively planning on rereading this, as this story deserves to be carefully read rather than just be gulped down.

This is a satisfying ending to a long and extremely well-written story. I'm sad to see it end but I'm happy that Monty and Yuki were able to make a life together and raise their son even if they disagree about just how to go about that. Michio must have an interesting childhood, growing up in a castle and served by ninja monkeys. I loved the whole story and look forward to any story you might post in the future.

Delicious ending, I like how you subtly hinted as to what Michio looked like, instead of coming right and saying it, nice touch. Monty's personality seemed a bit overwhelming at first, if I may say, he seem more oppressive than he was when Yuki first entered his castle, way back then. I like how Yuki was able to keep him in line though. I would like to see when Michio finds out that what had happened between his father and mother. That should make for an interesting chapter or two. If this is the end, then I must say a heartfelt thank you. Yes thank you, for it is the reader that should thank the authour for letting them witness such mastery of language. Thank you.

This was a perfect ending to a brilliant story. As I said last time, the characters have come a full circle and can now enjoy what they have gained after having suffered so much. In the last chapter it still felt a little bittersweet because all their torment was relatively fresh in their mind, but this epilogue is much happier and has a homey feel to it.

I love the way you wrote Monty as a father in this chapter. It's very in-character for him to be so demanding and not quite understand what an influence he's having on his son. I found two of Yuki's statements particularly striking. Namely, that Michio is not to be molded in Monty's image and that he's not one of the monkey ninjas.

I also liked it that we got to see what sort of personality Michio is. He seems like a very intelligent and thoughtful child. He reminds me a lot of how Monty was in the flashback chapters, but at the same time I can already tell that Michio is going to be a better person. He probably won't inherit Monty's mean streak or biting sarcasm, at least not in such an extent. Of course, it's too early to tell since he's just seven here, but he really gives me a good vibe.

All the interaction between Monty, Yuki and Michio felt very real here. I think that's because you didn't even try to paint some perfect and idyllic family scene. It's obvious that there are problems in this family, but at the same time it's clear that they're strong enough to solve them.

Anyway, thank you for writing this magnificent story. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best Monkey Fist fanfic there is. You have portrayed and developed his character brilliantly and written one of the most enjoyable romance stories I have ever read. I've already told this to you, but I cannot praise you enough for making the romantic development slow and believable instead of rushing straight to the best bits. This way everything that happened in the story felt like a prize after a long struggle.

Another reason to thank you is that I doubt I would have got so involved in the fandom without you and this story. I had no plans to write fanfiction of my own or take part in any discussions, but I enjoyed this story so much that I just had to join you guys.

Again, thank you for writing such a great story. I can hardly wait to see what other fics you have in store for us.

A very, very fine ending for the story. I wonder what you were going to do for an encore after the last chapter. I'm glad you did this. In truth, it shows Monty as Monty not as MF. It shows him coming to grips with his role as HUMAN father not just monkey master.

And Yuki gets to be subtly in charge too. ;P

All grow. All develop. All come of age (or in Michio's case) start down that road.

Nice job making Monty a father- captured him just right.

Wow...this was...AMAZING, just AMAZING. Not just the epilogue; the ENTIRE fic. Unlike most romance fics that pair canon characters up with OCs, your fic developed the relationship at a steady but believable pace.

Yuki would have to be the best OC I've ever seen in a fanfic; many OCs tend to be Mary Sues, but Yuki was a well-developed, believable character with normal flaws.

I also really liked how your fic isn't just a plot-driven story, it is also a character-driven story; some chapters are designed to move the plot, whilst others focus on developing the characters. It's a technique I'm using for some of my stories as well.

Alice Killigan...that means DNAmy and Duff Killigan...*shudder*

Overall, one of the best KP fics I've ever read on here. Great job with the fic, PengyChan; you can bet that when the time for the Fanny Awards rolls around, I'll be submitting this as a nomination! :-)

When I saw the title of the chapter, I thought, "Oh no, not Monkei Fist or Yuki!" Even so, it's still sad to see Sensei go. This is amazing so far and I really can't wait for the epilogue.

Although you probably won't do a sequel, I can see Yuki almost constantly thinking that Monty is being evil when he gets something even when their child is like...in his teens, you know? I'd be like that too but just saying lol.
