Oh this is wonderful. It tugged and is still tugging my heart strings. I find the way you built up a picture of Duo and Heero's comfortable relationship in the first part, and then really dropped the bombshell in the second really well done.

The desperation in the last five lines was especially emotive. The use of 'damn' was especially so.

Oh my God, how can there not be more of this? I just... I don't even know what to say. I loved the way that you set this story up, and your style is fantastic and nice to read but... but I'm just staring at the screen of my little laptop on my lap blinking and wondering where the rest of this is, because it surely can't be done. Right? I mean, there has to be more?

Well written, well executed. With luck you'll be writing a mini sequel? (But my luck's not that good, so I probably shouldn't hold my breath. XD)

But what happened to Heero? Did he just drop off the face of the world (and colonies) or is he on a mission, hurt, etc? I think it was very good though. I liked it a lot!

Nicely done. The counting reminded me of one of Garrison Keillor's heart-warming stories. Then end of this had me hoping for some resolution, a second part. *nudge, nudge*

That was really good...and of course if I wanted to I could read more into it. Makes me want more, I want Heero back too.
