I cannot get over your amazing writing talent! What I would give to write as beautifully as you...

I really like this, partly because of the way you portray the characters, but also because I can sympathize with canonPercy. He's wrong, quite wilfully blind for the most part but I can see where he's coming from and why he acted the way he did. I'm not certain how I would have acted in the same situation myself. It wasn't like his choices (even had he not been blind) were all that great; be killed for sticking with your family or survive relatively unharmed if you abandon that family. Not ideal.
