This was an awesome story. Super easy to follow but still enough going on to make you think and a lot of character revelation or development.

10 years since this story was finished, but it has aged well. The only minor note of discord I read was how well Severus had mentally survived so many years of torture. Despite that, I'd say that this story deserves an 'E' for Exceeds Expectations. Well done.

I'm re-reading this, and although you corrected Narcissa's hair in chapter 13 the correction somehow didn't take - you've still got her with black hair like her sisters, although I like Jean's suggestion that she might be a *dyed* blonde.

This was an amazing story, very much portrayed the unbreakable side we all know and love about Snape, I wished it was a bit longer though. Is it too late for a sequel?

I only have one word: wonderful. What an amazing story. I read all of it in one sitting. The absolute best fanfiction I have read in months. You are very talented, and I loved the way you hinted at some of the more graphic parts but didn't let the story dissolve into porn. I hope you keep writing, you're wonderful at it!

The story kept me reading from chapter to chapter without wanting to take time to review! (Those cliffhangers can work against the author's desire for reviews.) The surprising departure from the usual cliches of "slave fiction" and foray into mystery and action/adventure was extremely well done and makes for a very satisfying tale with a lot of twists and turns that really took my breath away. Severus's return to Azkhaban for instance. Utterly unexpected, very well written in plot and characterization. Kudos!
