great little story. I don't any fanfiction before has every given me a mental image as great as Optimus killing Megatron with Starscream's spark and I don't know why this hasn't happened yet.

Yes, and the image of half-a-Starscream pulling himself up the cliff will forever be in my mind. Oh God... XDXD I swear, the amount of determination he is capable of rallying is actually a little terrifying. He just /doesn't give up/, it's almost surreal.

Oh boy, but this chapter...where do I even start?

Well, first off, I should tell you: I loved it. I love everything! I love the world, I love the characters, I love the dilemma, I love the drama. It's all so wondrously intriguing, and, strangely enough, humourous still! While of course being dramatic.

It's hard to think of anything specific to talk about, as more than a /few/ questions are buzzing around my head. Like... Who was Starscream involved with? (Please be Soundwave. :3) Who was his old partner that was killed? (Wait was it Skyfire?) If Starscream knows this planet so well, than does he know a way home? Is the only reason Optimus is concerned about Starscream really just about a fear of loneliness? Will we learn more about Starscream and Optimus' back stories than just their jobs before the war? Why is Starscream constantly comparing Megatron to Optimus, cursing them both with inner insults, but then mysteriously defending his old master? Optimus claims Megatron to be a power-obsessed tyrant, but given their history, does he believe Starscream any different? Has he ever had a reason to think Starscream is any different? Will they become friends? Is this fic leaning towards a romantic setting between them, or just a general tolerance? WILL IT HAVE A HAPPY ENDING?!

These and many more are all jumbled about in my head. *Sigh* Great. You see what you've done to me? XD

Oh hey, but to be perfectly clear, none of these are meant to be taken badly. We're still very early into the story, and these are just the inevitable questions swirling around my brain. XD I guess the only nit-pickish question I have is:

Does this planet have a name? If Starscream went out of his way to insure that NO ONE goes to this rust-bucket of a planet, he did name it right? RIGHT?

Ahh well. It's honestly not that big a deal, and I'm really really enjoying the story, so I won't let it deter me, even in the slightest.

Anywho, so, great chapter! I can't wait to read the next and am looking forward to where you're going with this! :)

And I really need to stop reading this. Oh geeze, my feels are going to kill me! I'm not even joking. I just...I just...

I had to stop a few times to breathe. The full wait and impact of the situation and Cybertron's fate hit like a wrecking ball. It was sad in the first chapter, but here it just felt suffocating. Their planet is gone. They're lost in space. They're alone. They're crippled.

I can only pray that somehow, in some way, someone heads the distress single and finds them at the end of this, but I highly doubt it, and, much like a Decepticon, refuse to hope for it.

You said at the beginning this turned into a huge character study, and honestly I think that's the only way I will get through it without crying. Observing the characters and their motivations is interesting, and being objective in pondering their responses and actions in this particular situation is also allot of fun. Of course though, I can never seem to force myself to be totally objective. I still want to cry, I still want to curl up in my bed and munch on nothing but chocolates, but I know I won't.

I want to know where this story will go, and I won't stop reading until it is finished.

And even though I imagine it having a terrible, but perhaps heartfelt ending with the two of them becoming closer and dying together, I'm still going to read it...

...And cry my eyes out, but oh well.

I...I don't know what to say. That was...wow.

I'm not a huge fan of the Starscream/Optimus ship, but I'm loving this so far! The atmosphere is dark, heavy, and hopeless, the characters are interesting and even made me laugh, (though I don't think humour is necessarily intended in the fic, but I could be wrong) this new, lost world is intriguing, and the plot thought-provoking. I find myself wanting to know more, and honestly I'm going to keep reading, even though I should probably stop for the moment and continue working on my paper. XD Ahhh well, it's only 300 words. I can get it done later.

Wonderful beginning, can't wait to see where you go with this!

Sinehead pointed me to this as proof that Starscream/Optimus COULD exist...heheh...we were nameing off crack-pairings in a way...or...slash pairings...blame her...but here is a truely AMAZING-WONDERFUL story of yours. Oh wow. It's so amazing. Like, honestly...How did you DO so well? This is simply wonderful. Simply. Wow. Though...the whole darkness thing...reminds me of Riddick and Pitch Black... or whatever...where the eclipse happens and that thing comes out of the dakr and EATS everyone. Yeah. I REALLY REALLY loved this story. Its amazing...I almost WISH it hadn't endd...but all good stories must come to an end. I know I know...*sigh*

Okay- have to say- like a million other reviewers who probably picked up on the ref to Pitch Black- that I'm bloody happy to see this planet - despite how bitchingly horrible it was. Pitch Black is one of my favourite scifi flicks- and to see it so casually slotted into this story made my day! ;3 And Starscream's reaction to it was just a bonus! XD

Very cool story so far~ I'm a big OPSS fan~ and this is a pleasure to read!

Great fic! So far, after having read at least a dozen or so Transformer fic in various universes, this fic is the best I have read.

Characterization is very good. I didn't notice any OOCness. I think you captured the essence of Prime and Star quite well
