Well I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the Mal/River pairing worked out. You did a good job making it feel organic.

Before I even start I'm gonna say that I don't think River should ever be paired with anyone from canon. Let's see how I feel about the pairing by the end, shall we?

I actually read this on Ｔwisting the Hellmouth , didn't realise that it was here all along. The story was fantastic!

Loving the story so far, and i know it's completed and information considering heroes was incomplete at the time of your writing this story, but i HAVE to comment on your incorrect science and ability interactions (along with micahs wonderful device).

The ability to channel radiation does not impact any other ability. As a whole, a persons ability to generate energy does not impact any other ability or how powerful that ability is, because those abilities work along completely different paths. Hiro's ability to manipulate time and space in the manner that he can accomplish things we can't even imagine. Season 4, heroes moved between entire *timelines*, going back in time before his past self traveled four years into the future that was yet to happen and was averted, making him by far one of the most powerful specials within the heroes universe. However, that aside, his ability up to season 2 was still shown to be very powerful, as Peter himself managed to exist in the present and the future *at the same time*, even picking up a piece of paper and bringing it back to the present, where adam had literally seen him calling out for caitlyn. Even in an uncontrollable state, space-time manipulation is powerful. On top of that, bending space means the distance between two points is entirely insignificant, as teleportation through space manipulation doesnt mean he literally travels through that whole space, but that he bends space to make his destination, whereever that may be, literally a step away, and 'steps' through to the other side, taking much less effort than you'd imagine it would take. While it's plausible that peter would lose control of his ability during a radiation match between him and Sylar, resulting in a leap through space and time, it would not be the resulting energy that made it possible, Hiro's power was much more powerful than traveling intergalactic distances and centuries, but that as radiation was barely controllable as is or the radiation transfer between him and sylar would be in such excess that peter would lose his concentration and accidentally activate another power, in this case space-time manipulation, uncontrollably.

As for Micahs wonder device, while it's very plausible that the software would be able to constantly update itself, there simply wouldnt be enough space unless there was a literal wireless cloud that existed throughout the milkyway that the device could connect to and store its data on. while technically speaking the device would be able to connect to a system and using the software granted by micah, update itself using it's target computers data system and thus be able to manipulate it better than a child with play-do, the devices capabilities would be very limited when it would come to anything else, including data storage, as the majority of computer functions rely on the capabilities of the hardware and not the software, meaning that the device would have become outdated very quickly unless it was able to update constantly itself when it was connected to a system wirelessly and use the target computers systems instead of its own, in which case it would be plausible but not likely.

However, combining the two makes for a very good plotpoint, even if it is completely scientifically misaligned. But then again, we're talking about people who can fly and turn invisible, science is the last thing we should be worried about XD.

Yay! I can't believe i stumbled onto a Maliver story. Never was a Paire fan (Sylaire just more fun) but I am open minded. So far this story has lots of potential sadly I have to wait 'til tomorrow to read the rest.
