In all the years that I’ve re-read this story, have I ever given it a review? I am not sure I have, so I will give one now.

Every time I read or listen to this story, I always feel the same. It is so raw and soul gripping. It is amazing and beautiful. Sometimes I get confused in the words, but even then, I cannot look away or stop listening. It is amazing, just such a great story. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This has got to be my favorite HP fic. I have read it over and over again and it never fails to send shivers down my spine. This is a hauntingly, gloriously, broken masterpiece that shows the facets of its characters perfectly complex as they are. Thank you for writing and sharing Like Pale Fire.

While Salazar might not be subtle, the rest of the story certainly subtly compelling. It was marvelously deep and quietly intense in a way that you can't really find too often nowadays.

Your portrayal of Helga was certainly fascinating. I've never read a story in which she's portrayed in such a way. The portrayal of Rowena was quite fitting, I believe. And Godric's inability to forgive... it was a very realistic flaw.

All in all, it was beautiful.

I really liked your fic. It has one or too small grammar errors but the intensity, the description, the fullness of the Founders... You made their lives real and painful and not at all like a fairy tale. The did build a school in the middle of nowhere, in a dangerous place and with barely a chance of survival.[

It's somehow different than other stories a bit like stories I wrote before I somehow forgot, how to do it. They make sense. Like it's not part's that come together, but one story. Like it should be. I hope I can write such stories again, if I have enough time to try to do it again...

I didn't really like it, but that's just my aversion to Salric speaking. Except for the slash, it was very – almost surprisingly, no offense – well-written. I would suggest it to any who can take Salric to try this one.
