1. Love the characterization of momotaro(think that's his name) like holy shit bro that's a hellava good oc well played my friend

3. Just generally your style makes me seven kinds of jealous but in a good way like "wow I wish o was as talented as this person"
4. Enough humor like some people are like angst angst angst and some people are nothing but jokes and some people focus really hard on world building or character building but you're just like "here is some humor that will have you rolling on the floor laughing but doesn't distract from the main story either"

Oh no this is so good. I've recently surprised myself by falling in love with MayuriXUrahara, and your story is really great! Except, I see that you last updated back in 2011, which is unfortunate. I would love it if you continued with this story, but I would also totally understand if you didn't. Great job, though!

Ah, I forgot how much I loved your story! This is simply the best Mayuri Kurotsuchi fic I've ever read. You give a great back story that explains Mayuri's character. Sure, he's crazy, but this is what sparked his particular brand of it. Anyway, great job! Even though it's been a while, I hope that you continue this one day. In the mean time, I'll sit and wait.

jokes aside, I really liked how you fleshed out mayuri's past history and even if I hated mayuri cutting himself in one of the earlier chapters, it is all very believable that mayuri would do whatever it takes to reach his goal and of course to prove to others of his superiority and brilliance and definitely to one-up urahara. his childhood is so wretched! but I like how it explains about his scientific detachment towards other human beings, because his father had killed the sympathy and compassion in him... his relationship with his mother is really sad though it is the impetus for him to awake his zanpakto. It is really an unique take on how mayuri started out humbly in the sewers, though not losing his thirst and ambition (loved the little robots he made to clean, reminds me of the mini-rebots Spanner made in the manga/anime katekyo hitman reborn:)) I can't wait to find out more about what happens next!

This is, without any shadow of a doubt, the best fanfic I've read in a very long time.

I just stumbled across this and I've got to say, I'm hooked. This pairing doesn't have nearly enough attention and I was extremely pleased to find "Imperfect." I love your interpretation of Mayuri's character so so much. Even though he's much younger than in the series, he's still as spirited (to put it lightly) and peculiar as ever. That, and the interaction of dear Mayuri and Urahara is a delight to witness. They both have some of the most amusing personalities to begin with, and when they collide...

No, offence ... -huffs- I am a Kurotsuchi Mayuri Cosplayer/ rper/fan and for one I know mayuri never had ears. Ever. He was not born with them and somehow I am very confused with your story, Mayuri would never mess up or blush or get emotional about anything in cute ways. I find your Ideal of Mayuri to be very incorrect. it bothers me... so... I cannot say this was one of my favorites. it was very disappointing to say the least, I was hoping for a better plot, though it was sometimes unclear who " he " was during the coitus[sexual intercourse], you did have his attitude down in the beginning somewhat, but Mayuri would do coitus with a man, it says in the official guide that Kurotsuchi Mayuri hates the sound of men, I do not hate gays, I am bi-sexual myself but it's official that mayuri would never have coitus with a male character and I am just being honest with you. I am not trying to pick any battles, just giving a honest review. I do wish you did better. I must say I do love how you made Mayuri say " I do hate you, i hope you know that. " I do like your story if it was mayuri being gender bender, wonderful story for that but other then that I like how you worded everything and the vocab, it was great. Hopefully you are fine with honest opinions.

Moving on! This chapter feels much more like we are getting into the nuts and bolts of something. As much as I loved Ch 9 for the sexytimes…Ch 10 felt like it really moved forward in terms of plot.

I know we talked a lot about his mother and about his zanpakuto, but I think my favorite part of this was actually your introduction of Mayuri’s father. He’s the kind of guy that it feels good to dislike. Actually, more in particular, I enjoyed the juxtaposition of him having to watch the servants “die for him” to him killing the birds. Death that is “his doing”, meshed with death that truly is his doing. I think that was the most carefully crafted part of this whole thing.

This said, the road is paved for Mayuri to be sent into the Maggot’s nest. I’m sure that will be an interesting story in itself, especially given with how the Obon festival seems to have gone to all hell.
