Woaaaa, I absolutely loved your fic.. You are also the writer of 'Life sucks'? I just discovered that! I read that fic ('life sucks') many years ago, more than 10, perhaps 12 or 13 or something... And I loved it. I will try to re-read it in the next days...
About this one in particular, I can't even find the words.. It is so good for so many reasons.. The way you write is beautiful, so well thought, so expressive and intelligent, very funny. I laughed at the situations, and what Rei was thinking, and began thinking, is that how thoughts came to your mind? In a similar way as Rei expressed himself? You must be very creative and full of wonders.
I loved that other view. Just now I was looking for something that wasn't so fluffy or sweet. I have been reading fics and find the real characters Rei and Kai lost in some kind of OC cornyness or something.. Not that it is bad, but for me it has become a bit too much. So reading your fic was very refreshing, for its length, your words, your thoughts.
I can picture Rei and Kai going through that, like, if they had gone through that, it would be as you wrote.. Just little by little, without realizing, in a very soft and subtle way... Throughout the time in the anime they felt like that, like they liked each other, but didn't really wondered much about those feelings or what it was, even though there was attraction on their sides.
I don't know if I have experienced that kind of love, but like you said, we feel love in different ways. I think it gives us something to think about, and enriches us and our perceptions.. So, thank you. Thank you very much, starshards. I hope you are well and doing something that keeps you happy.

I don't think there's anything really "unrealistic" with the concept of "floating around seeing sparkles" when you're in love. The chemistry in your body might actually create substances that'll make you feel like that.
Still, I truly think your story is good, in many purposes (not only because it was a plesant read). Not everyone get the "floating around" effect when falling in love, and like Rei, I don't either think that's the point with falling in love. Many seems to blindlessly seek for the "floating around effect" rather than the actual love and I think that stories like this might help others see how different each love can be and it's more than a shortlived effect which will eventually fade.
Anyhow I want to tell you that I like your story and think it was good that you posted it for various reasons And I highly recommend it

hmm...that's different. I've never of love being like that. In a way it seems boring, yet still it intrigues me; if that makes any sense. I actually makes me think of Sonnet 130, U probably heard of it. Very realistic, and yet... he seems to be lacking emotion. Oh well, this kind of fic doesn't look like its for the mushy stuff (though I admit I do enjoy that). Great job on being original, its kinda neat. Though to be honest I thought they were just gonna be 'fuck buddies' through the entire thing, so nice twist, apparently they are in love... It seems almost business like. Is that how love is for u?

I really like this kind of easy, realness in relationships. It's not all drama and angst and whimsical. Just simple and easy as becoming physical with your most trusted and loved friend. Very nice

I compleatly agree with you that there should be more stories with a realistic veiw to them. Do you think that you could be talked (well... written to) into making a version of this story from Kai's perspective?

Now that was a good story! Pretty deep, with another take on love - one I've never really thought about before. Amazingly written, too. It's the sort of thing that just pulls you in so you can't tear your eyes away. Not like I wanted to anyway. And it is more realistic, to be totally honest.

All in all, great! Is there a sequel?

That was a great dialogue! I very much liked the theme that love is open to interpretation and is different for everyone. Definetly one of my fav stories! Great job! This would also make a great storyline to do in more detail with chapters! *hint hint*

I really enjoy your realism. It really touches on what people really think. It is so much better than reading people getting gushy and mushy and jealous and all that. I kind of like that type of trust you portrayed in their relationship. I also like when you write those silly Rei monologues.

O.K, i'm gonna admit this, i am a complete romantic and i luv romancy scenes, which is why all my stories come out a bit fake proabaly. But i'm not criticising this story because it's not exactly romantic, i'm praising it because it's real. It seems like a proper Kai and a proper Ray, rather than 2 idiots that have fallen for eachother in another old cliche. (there are quite a few around believe me.) Plus it includes the essensial factors:

. A realistic world

. Kai X Ray

So that makes it probably the best fic i've ever read. I loved it.
