Really enjoyed this peek at the story and backstory from Howl's POV. HMC is one of the few books I can go back and re-read and I've just finished it again, so went hunting for good fan fic. Thanks for having written this!

WOW I have never read such a detailed account of Howl's childhood and life before Ingary, I can definitely see your theory about their dad being an alocoholic after rereading chapter 11. The way Howl protects and Megan from their dad and the way he looks after Neil is adorable and so loving, howeve, I can't see how Megan comes to act all holier than thou towards Howl like she does in the book if her faults greatly outweigh his...? i.e he may be a playboy but she got married because she was pregnant and didn't finish high school and didn't take responsibility/ look after Neil etc. Megan sounds horibble

You put altogether too much effort into your author's notes. I love it.

This is incredible writing, world-building, characters made even more life and blood than they were in the books. Thank you so much for the story! The Welsh works beautifully-some stories get up to a terrible mishmash of Wenglish or Japanglish or any other hybridization of two languages, but this adds rather than detracts. Well done.

Anyway, update, update, update! This is awesome! I want to see your insight into Howl's thoughts during the weed killer part! (The weed killer part is pretty much my favorite part of the whole book.) Seriously, though - you've got to update. I get it, writer's block, you don't have time, but PLEASE update. That would be so amazing.
