Wow, this is really beautiful! I didn't know what to expect, but it really surprised me! The characters are perfect!

Interesting idea! I like how the teachers were aware of at least some of the issues Harry was facing at home and tried to protect him from Dudley where possible. Seeing Dudley break the trophy was tough, but then I suppose there was no way they would let Harry keep it unless they 'ruined' it first. And it's so sweet that that trophy is the thing he prizes above all of his other awards and medals; Miss Covington's support obviously had a lasting impact on him.

Aw this was such a cute oneshot. This story makes is so that Harry's childhood had involved concerned adults working against the restrictions they had as nonfamily members. As for that bout of accidental magic, it's good that it stood through his adulthood.

This was very cute, a nice little look into Harry's life before Hogwarts. And that his teachers were proactive, but ultimately helpless, was very nice. Different from how most people paint them.

What a beautiful story! Very in keeping with character and canon plus the little bit of accidental magic thrown in. I can see Harry later in life shoving various medals and awards into drawers in order to forget them as quickly as possible but leaving his trophy in pride of place. Thanks for sharing this piece :)

Short, but very, very good. I like how you portrayed the Durselys as bad, but not as abusive as many writers do.

I loved this! It was very sweet, and very realistic. As Harry wasn't accustomed with magic at that stage, and he was still quite young, I think he would have suspected Aunt Petunia's doing. I loved how you merged the muggle world into this - I used to dread award ceremonies, as my classmates would always glare at me. The teacher was very plausible - it's nice that Harry gets a little appreciation from someone. Very well done!
