Well, they don't necessarily go together but they certainly both manage to get there at some point. They did visit heaven together though, so that certainly fits with that philosophy. And for a second there I thought that Dean had accidentally broken a rib and driven it into Sam's heart or something. This kind of fluke ends up being more telling though. Thank you for posting, and to the individual who came up with the original plot bunny for this!

That title. Cool fic, lot of research went into it I'm sure and I enjoyed it. The only thing that is bugging me is that the brain cells begin to die after around 4 minutes of oxygen deprivation (from what I remember from first aid that is), and there's no way the ambulance would have got there within those four minutes. I suppose where death stands with the Winchesters that doesnt matter so much. I think because Sam was revived by paramedics rather than an angel or a demon deal I find it a little toughter to swallow but eh, the show is called Supernatural!

Awesome fic, and totally suprised by the injury, was expecting Dean to kick Sam in the family jewels! Didn't know that cardiac arrest could happen by just kicking someone above the heart at the wrong moment, it made for a fantastic read. Totally true to character and imagined it all playing out in my head as I read it.

A definite fave.

Dean could barely make it through two of Sammy's death. Sam had to go through so many in Mystery Spot...

Wow, scary scenario. I have actually read this twice now. I love it when the brothers spar and/or fight. When you add in an accidental potentially fatal injury, there is just all kinds of yummy angst. This story is short, but sweet. I am adding it to my favorites. Thanks.
