You aren't easily tempted by happy endings, are you? I don't realise how used to them I have become, but I have, because I fully expected it to end with a kiss and a cute line, but nooo. He is the devil. Which is, I must say, quite realistic. The whole 'everyone's stories ending badly' thing, too.

I was all like 'oh, look at that, three more chapters. Well, the storyline seems mostly tied up, so hopefully I'll be getting a whole lot of Beckett and Victoria just conversing and ironing things out, Beckett comforting her, and fluffiness in general.' I didn't really believe it, but wowee, I was wrong. It's not gonna be easy to mend this one. However - *laughs darkly* - I will very much enjoy watching them anguish over trying to.
